Control system for hybrid vehicle

A control system for hybrid vehicles to eliminate the shortage of drive force within the low-to-mid speed range in the hybrid mode. In a differential mechanism, a first rotary element is connected to an engine, a second rotary element is connected to a first motor, a third rotary element is connected to a second motor, and a fourth rotary element is connected to an output unit. A third motor is connected to the output unit. When the controller determines that the hybrid vehicle is propelled by the torque of the engine, the first motor and the second motor generate torques in a same direction as an engine torque to propel the vehicle in a forward direction, and the third motor generates a torque in the forward direction to propel the vehicle together with the engine torque.

Methods and systems are provided for reducing carbon buildup in an exhaust gas recirculation system of an engine of a vehicle. In one example, a method comprises injecting a diesel exhaust fluid into an intake manifold of the engine, routing the diesel exhaust fluid into the exhaust gas recirculation system, and vaporizing the diesel exhaust fluid in the exhaust gas recirculation system. In this way, any carbon deposits associated with an exhaust gas recirculation valve and/or exhaust gas recirculation passage may be reduced, which may increase fuel economy and may reduce undesired emissions.

Hybrid utility vehicle

A hybrid driveline assembly for a vehicle includes an engine, an electric motor, and a transmission having an input and an output. The transmission input is selectively coupled to the engine and electric motor. The transmission is shiftable between a plurality of drive modes. The driveline assembly further includes a final drive assembly operably coupled to the transmission output. The final drive assembly has a front final drive operably coupled to a rear final drive.

An engine is controlled such that a first motor rotates at a rotational speed that causes a counter-electromotive voltage of the first motor to be higher than direct current-side voltages of a first inverter and a second inverter, and the first motor outputs torque to a driving shaft through a planetary gear set when an accelerator is on during specified travelling with gates of the first inverter and the second inverter being cut off and an engine being operated. When the accelerator is turned off during the specified traveling, fuel injection of the engine is stopped.

A drive apparatus for a motor vehicle, including a first motor drive device with at least one rotatable drive element and at least one other motor drive device with at least one rotatable drive element, at least one drive device that can be coupled to at least one drive axle on the vehicle side, with at least one rotatable drive element, at least one first motor drive device and with at least one other motor drive device and a gear device with at least one rotatable element that is or can be coupled to the drive device.

Optionally hybrid power system

The disclosure is directed to an optionally hybrid power system that may operate either as a traditional power system, deriving power from a single power source, or as a hybrid power system, deriving power from multiple types of power sources. An example optionally hybrid power system may include a gas turbine engine and one or more electric motors. When configured as a traditional power system the optionally hybrid power system may derive all power from the gas turbine engine. However, when configured as a hybrid power system, the one or more motors may be coupled to the optionally hybrid power system to supplement the power produced by the gas turbine engine. Additionally, an operator interface that may control the optionally hybrid power system may select from a plurality of operating modes that depend on the configuration of the optionally hybrid power system.
