PRESCRIPTION BOTTLE CAP CAPABLE OF ADMINISTERING OPIOID OVERDOSE REVERSAL AGENT
An apparatus for delivering a therapeutic agent may be associated with a cap for a bottle that contains a prescription for a drug to which the therapeutic agent corresponds. When the prescription bottle contains an opioid, the therapeutic agent may comprise a substance that counteracts the effects of the opioid. The apparatus may include a nozzle that facilitates nasal administration of the therapeutic agent. The apparatus may be capable of attaching to a cap for a prescription bottle, or the apparatus may have a configuration that enables it to serve as the cap for the prescription bottle.
PORTABLE MEDICAL SPRAY
A portable medical spray includes a tubular body having a room defined therein and a canister is located in the room. A needle is located in the room and a nozzle is formed to the top end of the body. The nozzle has a passage defined therethrough and the passage communicates with the room. The passage is located corresponding to the needle. A holding portion is formed to outside of the body. The canister has medicine received therein. A breakable portion is formed to the top end of the canister and located corresponding to the needle. The medicine is ejected through the passage of the nozzle when the canister is pushed and the needle penetrates through the breakable portion of the canister.
Vapor-generating systems
A vapor-generating system includes a cartridge, a vapor-generating device and a piercing element. The cartridge includes a cartridge housing configured to hold a solid vapor-forming substrate within the cartridge housing interior, a liquid storage housing configured to hold a liquid vapor-forming substrate within the liquid storage housing interior, and a frangible seal on the liquid storage housing. The vapor-generating device includes a device housing at least partially defining a cavity, an electric heater, and a power supply. The piercing element is configured to pierce the frangible seal of the cartridge to expose the liquid storage housing interior to be in fluid communication with the electric heater based on the vapor-generating device coupling with the cartridge such that the device housing at least partially receives the cartridge into the cavity. The electric heater is located externally from the piercing element.
Aerosol-generating system for generating and controlling the quantity of nicotine salt particles
There is provided an aerosol-generating system including an aerosol-generating device in cooperation with an aerosol-generating article. The aerosol-generating article includes a first compartment including a volatile liquid; and a second compartment including a delivery enhancing compound. The aerosol-generating device includes an outer housing configured to receive the aerosol-generating article; a power supply; a heater, configured to receive power from the power supply and arranged to heat the first compartment when the aerosol-generating article is received in the outer housing; an input, configured to receive an input from a user; and a controller, configured to control an amount of power supplied to the heater in dependence on a user input, such that a quantity of volatile liquid aerosolised is determined by the user input.
Nebulizer
A nebulizer for a fluid, includes a container containing the fluid; a housing part which can be detached from the nebulizer for replacing the container; an inner part; a retaining element connected with and not detachable from the inner part, where the housing part is releasable fixed to the inner part by the retaining element; a delivery mechanism for dispensing the fluid; a manually depressible actuator member, which is a separate part from the retaining element and acts on the retaining element, and wherein the actuator member is depressed to elastically deform or flex the retaining element to allow detachment of the housing part.
DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A FLUID PRODUCT
Device for dispensing a fluid product, having a body, a reservoir containing one or two doses of a fluid product, the reservoir having a stopper that closes off the reservoir in a sealed manner before actuation, a dispensing head provided with a dispensing orifice, and an actuating mechanism for dispensing at least a portion of the fluid product through the dispensing orifice during actuation. The dispensing head receives an insert having a channel that connects, during actuation, the reservoir to the dispensing orifice. The stopper has a hollow axial sleeve suitable for sliding within the reservoir during actuation, the hollow axial sleeve being closed off before actuation by a deformable radial membrane. The insert has a point suitable for piercing the membrane of the stopper at the time of actuation, and a piston suitable for sliding in a sealed manner within the reservoir during actuation.
Nasal spray assembly
A nasal spray assembly for administering a medicament to the nose of a user includes a nasal device and a container that has a reservoir containing the medicament. The reservoir is sealed by a movable piston. The nasal device includes a body, a cap that defines a socket into which the body can be inserted, an outlet, and a piercing element. The piercing element includes a piercer inlet and extends into the socket from a piercer stop within the socket. The nasal spray assembly is arranged such that, as the body is moved into the socket along a first axis, the piercing element pierces and passes through the piston such that the piercer inlet lies within the reservoir, contact between the piercer stop and piston forces the piston into the container, reducing the reservoir volume and forcing medicament from the reservoir through the conduit and out of the outlet.
Prescription bottle cap capable of administering opioid overdose reversal agent
An apparatus for delivering a therapeutic agent may be associated with a cap for a bottle that contains a prescription for a drug to which the therapeutic agent corresponds. When the prescription bottle holds an opioid, the therapeutic agent may be a substance that counteracts the effects of the opioid. The apparatus may include a nozzle that facilitates nasal administration of the therapeutic agent. The apparatus may be capable of attaching to a cap for a prescription bottle, or the apparatus may have a configuration that enables it to serve as the cap for the prescription bottle.
Detachable Container for Aerosol Delivery Having Pierceable Membrane
A cartridge coupled or coupleable with a control body to form an aerosol delivery device is provided that includes a container of aerosol precursor composition and an atomizer enclosing a reservoir configured to receive and carry aerosol precursor composition. The container and the atomizer are removably coupleable with one another, and include respectively a septum and a connector including a cannula that are engaged when the container and the atomizer are coupled to enable passage of aerosol precursor composition from the container to the reservoir. The atomizer further includes a heating element controllable to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition in the reservoir.
Nebulizer
A nebulizer is proposed which comprises a blocking device for blocking opening of the nebulizer in a tensioned state. The nebulizer comprises preferably an indicator device for indicating a tensioned state of the nebulizer. The nebulizer comprises further a depressible actuator member at a housing part which is detachable from the nebulizer.
