RESPIRATORY DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure provides for a respiratory delivery device. Particularly, the disclosure provides for a delivery device for use in administering a particulate medicament to a subject's airway and lungs via inhalation. The delivery device may be suitable for emergency medicine for the delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients including epinephrine.
Smoking device
Apparatus and methods are described for use with a portion of plant material that includes at least one active ingredient. A vaporizing unit includes a heating element configured to heat the plant material, and a sensor configured to detect an indication of airflow rate through the vaporizing unit. Control circuitry is configured to receive an indication of the airflow rate through the vaporizing unit, and, in response thereto, to determine a smoking profile that is desired by the user. The control circuitry drives the heating element to vaporize the active ingredient of the plant material by heating the plant material according to the determined smoking profile. The control circuitry dynamically updates the smoking profile in response to changes in airflow rate over the course of a smoking session. Other applications are also described.
NASAL DELIVERY DEVICES
A nasal delivery device for and method of delivering particulate substance to the nasal airway of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a body assembly including a mouthpiece unit which includes a mouthpiece through which the subject in use exhales, and a substance-supply unit which is fluidly connected to the mouthpiece unit and actuatable to provide particulate substance for delivery to the nasal airway of the subject; wherein the body assembly is configured to receive a replaceable nosepiece unit which includes a nosepiece and contains a container containing particulate substance.
Device for administration of dry powder inhalation medicine with detachable heads for adjusting the resistance
An inhalation delivery device for dry powder with adjusting resistance through detachable heads, which combines four different detachable heads and uses a single base. The desired resistance and the medicament delivery/allocation to the lungs, are set, offering a practical, low cost solution while, at the same time, a high performance personalized treatment. The detachable head (1) comprises a mouthpiece (2) for the mouth of the patient, a medicament intake orifice (3) sized to fit into the mouth of a patient and a protrusion (4) for a sliding connection between the detachable head (1) and the base (5), via notches (6) carried by the base (5). Each detachable head (1) possesses a corresponding protrusion (4) which may be fitted onto the base (5). The device comprises typically four different heads (1), covering the entire spectrum of patients accordingly to their inhalation capacity, the medicament type/dose and the targeted point of treatment.
Device to deliver a predetermined amount of a substance to a natural orifice of the body
The present invention provides a device for delivering a predetermined amount of at least one substance to a body orifice of a subject; comprising: a. a container for containing said at least one substance; b. a delivery end for placement in proximity to said orifice, said delivery end being in fluid communication with said container; c. a valve mechanically connectable to said container, characterized by at least two configurations: (i) an ACTIVE CONFIGURATION in which said valve enables delivery of predetermined amount of said substance from said container to said body orifice via said delivery end; and, (ii) an INACTIVE CONFIGURATION, in which said valve prevents delivery of said predetermined amount of said substance from said container to said body orifice; d. a trigger mechanism adapted to reconfigure said valve from said INACTIVE CONFIGURATION to said ACTIVE CONFIGURATION, and vice versa; e. a fluid tight chamber.
Inhaler adapted to read information stored in data storage means of a container
The present disclosure relates to an inhaler adapted to supply a formulation comprised in a container to a user, the inhaler being adapted to read information stored in data storage means of the container. The present disclosure also relates to a system comprising such an inhaler and the container comprising the formulation, the container further comprising the data storage means storing the information. The present disclosure also relates to a container comprising a formulation, the container further comprising data storage means storing information, the container being adapted for supplying the formulation to a user, wherein the container is adapted for usage in an inhaler of any of the preceding claims. The disclosure also relates to set comprising the inhaler and a computing device external of the inhaler, wherein the inhaler and the computing device are adapted to communicate with each other. The disclosure also relates to the use of the inhaler, container, set and/or system for inhalation therapy.
Dermal spray apparatus and method
A system and method for dermal spraying includes a portable, hand-held dermal application device with disposable formulation capsules that spray a formulation unto the skin and a data transmission unit operatively connecting the dermal spray device to a mobile device. The mobile device communicates with a remote server and transmits anonymized data about the user's skin conditions and treatment history. The anonymized data may be labelled and classified by a dermatologist, and stored on a secure cloud server. The anonymized data is used to train models for serum and treatment plan recommenders.
Dose container
A unit dose container for holding a single dose of a given liquid, the container comprising: a chamber (8) in which, in use, the given liquid is stored, the chamber having a wall through which, in use, the liquid is to be supplied; a release mechanism (7), at least part of which is internal to, or forms part of the wall of the chamber, the release mechanism being movable relative to the chamber between first and second positions; and means for allowing the release mechanism (7) to move from the first to the second positions, thereby opening a passage through the wall so that the liquid can exit the chamber (8), the means including at least one flexible wall portion.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING AND ASPIRATING ACTIVE SUBSTANCES, ESPECIALLY FROM THE CANNABIS PLANT
The invention relates to a capsule for use in a vaporizer, having at least one first cavity formed at least in part by a lid, side walls and bottom of the capsule, and a vaporizable active substance accommodated in the first cavity of the capsule, wherein the side walls and/or the bottom are at least in sections double-walled with an inner wall facing the first cavity of the capsule and an outer wall facing the outside of the capsule, so that at least one second cavity is formed between the inner wall and the outer wall of the capsule, inner wall facing the first cavity of the capsule and an outer wall facing the outside of the capsule, so that at least one second cavity is formed between the inner wall and the outer wall, wherein an auxiliary substance, preferably a further active substance, a chemical reactant and/or a flavoring agent is accommodated in the second cavity. A corresponding vaporizer as well as a corresponding vaporizer system are further described.
DEVICE FOR INHALING POWDER-TYPE SUBSTANCES
A device for inhaling powder-type substances includes a mouthpiece, an insertion unit having a retaining part with an insertion means for opening a sub-region in a substance container containing the substance, and a discharge channel for the substance leading to the mouthpiece.
