Dry powder inhalers
The disclosure describes powder inhalers and dry powder inhaler storage cassettes that include a compartment housing an elongate carrier preloaded with a plurality of doses of finely divided powder comprising a biologically active substance. The compartment is configured such that the preloaded doses are sealed within the compartment and such that the carrier may be advanced from the compartment to the chamber through an exit provided with a moisture barrier sealing system. The moisture barrier sealing system is configured and arranged such that it is relaxable during advancement of the carrier. The sealing system is in sealing configuration prior to an advancement of the carrier, is relaxed upon an advancement of the carrier and is returned to its sealing configuration at the latest after release of the powder associated with the area of the carrier.
Fluid-product distribution device
A fluid dispenser device including a body and a cover that pivots between a closed position and an open position and reservoirs each containing a dose of fluid. The reservoirs are arranged on a strip and an opening mechanism is provided. The device includes a movable support to move a reservoir against the opening mechanism. The movable support is movable between a non-dispensing position and a dispensing position. The device includes a strip-rolling system having a drum and an actuator member. The actuator member turning relative to the body in a first direction when the movable support is moved from the non-dispensing position towards the dispensing position, and in a second direction when the movable support is moved from their dispensing position towards the non-dispensing position. The actuator member causes the drum to turn only when turning in the second turning direction.
Blister track inhaler device having a separate end path and methods of use thereof
Embodiments of an inhaler device include a housing, a withdrawing assembly disposed within the housing for facilitating withdrawal of medicament from a target blister of a blister strip, the withdrawing assembly including an opening element adapted for opening the target blister of the blister strip while the target blister is positioned in the withdrawing assembly, and a dispensing element adapted for directing the withdrawn medicament toward the exterior of the inhaler device. A blister track is disposed within the housing for guiding each blister of the blister strip to the withdrawing assembly in succession, an advancing mechanism for advancing the blister strip by a predetermined distance each time the advancing mechanism is engaged, and an engaging element for engaging the advancing mechanism to advance the blister strip. The blister track includes a primary coil structure, a secondary coil structure, and a tertiary coil structure.
Single blister-strip based dispenser
The present subject matter refers a blister-strip based dispenser (100) comprising a lever arm rotatable on receiving a user-actuation. A chassis (106, 108) is provided for supporting placement of at least one blister-strip (104) in the form of the coil. The blister-strip (104) comprises medicament-pockets at at-least one side of the blister-strip (104). A plurality of interconnected-rollers (110, 114, 116) comprises at-least one roller linked to the lever-arm and rotatable by the lever arm. The plurality of interconnected rollers (110, 114, 116) are configured for anchoring the blister-strip (104) from one end for enabling the placement in a coil-form and unwinding of the blister strip (104) from the coil-form, guiding at least two split-portions of the blister-strip (104), anchoring an end of each of said at-least two portions of the blister-strip (104) for winding the at-least two portions separately, and anchoring an end of a lid-foil peeled off the at least two portions for winding the lid-foil.
Blister advancement mechanism comprising an actuator plate
The present invention relates to improvements made in the blister advancement mechanism of dry powder inhaler devices. A dry powder inhaler device mechanism comprising an actuator plate and a transmission wheel is provided.
Wearable wrist inhaler
A wearable wrist inhaler includes a wristband having a first end and a second end configured for wear about a user's wrist. An inhaler unit is removably coupled to the wristband displaced from the first end and the second end, the inhaler unit including a housing having a plurality of walls defining an interior area and an outlet port in communication with the interior area. A watch assembly is positioned atop the housing of the inhaler unit, the watch assembly energized by a battery and includes a display configured to indicate a time of day.
