DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR VALIDATION AND MODIFICATION OF DEVICE STATE TRANSITIONS FOR AN AEROSOL GENERATION DEVICE
A test fixture for testing aerosol provision devices may include a housing, a plurality of testing modules disposed at the housing where each of the testing modules includes a cavity configured to receive a portion of an aerosol provision device, and processing circuitry operably coupled to the testing modules. Each of the testing modules may be configured to interface with an assembly of a respective one of the aerosol provision devices to transition the assembly between an initial state and a transitioned state during a functional test controlled by the processing circuitry. The processing circuitry may be configured to conduct the functional test of at least two of the testing modules simultaneously.
Life Support and Monitoring Apparatus with Malfunction Correction Guidance
A life support and monitoring apparatus with malfunction correction guidance is provided. The life support and monitoring apparatus of the present disclosure identifies the root cause or potential cause of a fault/failure and then prompts an operator to take appropriate steps to assure the continuance of life support and critical physiologic monitoring. When multiple faults/failures exist, the apparatus automatically prioritizes them based on risk to the patient and prompts the operator to do the most appropriate intervention to assure patient safety.
Powder delivery devices
A nasal delivery device for delivering substance to a nasal cavity of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a substance supply unit for supplying a dose of substance to be delivered to the nasal cavity of the subject, the substance supply unit including an inlet and an outlet; a nosepiece unit including a nosepiece for fitting to a nasal cavity of the subject and being in fluid communication with the outlet of the substance supply unit; and a mouthpiece unit including a mouthpiece in fluid communication with the inlet of the substance supply unit and through which the subject in use exhales such as to entrain substance from the container chamber and deliver the same through the nosepiece, and at least one temperature modifier for reducing a temperature of the exhaled air flow such as to reduce the absolute humidity thereof.
Arrangement and base part for an inhaler, and an inhaler
An arrangement for an inhaler comprises at least one electric evaporator for evaporating liquid supplied from the evaporator, and for adding the evaporated liquid to an air flow flowing through the inhaler to form an aerosol, and a flow rate measuring arrangement for measuring the volume and/or mass flow of the air flow flowing through the inhaler. The flow rate measuring arrangement comprises a heating device, a downstream temperature sensor arranged downstream of the heating device for measuring an air outlet temperature and an electronic control device, wherein the electronic control device is adapted to determine the volume and/or mass flow of the air flow flowing through the inhaler on the basis of a temperature difference between the air outlet temperature and an air inlet temperature of the air flow upstream of the heating device.
APPARATUS FOR HUMIDIFYING A RESPIRATORY GAS
An apparatus is provided to change the absolute humidity of a flow of air for delivery to an entrance of the airways of a patient, the change being compared to the absolute humidity of ambient air. The apparatus has a reservoir configured to hold a volume of liquid. A heating element creates vapour from the liquid. A chamber is provided to mix the flow of air with the vapour. The apparatus has a body having a first wall structure with a chamber inlet port. A closure element having an air inlet port for pneumatically connecting to a source of the flow of air is secured to the body to provide a sealed gas flow path between the air inlet port and the chamber inlet port, and a liquid trap in the gas flow path.
Electrically operated aerosol generation system
An aerosol generation system for generation of an aerosol from an aerosol-forming precursor includes an electrically operated heating system to heat the precursor to generate the aerosol, a flow path for transmission of flow, including the aerosol, to a user, the heating system arranged in fluid communication with the flow path, and electrical circuitry. The electrical circuitry is configured to determine a characteristic associated with a second order time derivative of a property of electrical energy through the heating system, and to determine a property related to the flow of the flow path based on the characteristic of the second order time derivative.
Push connector for vape cartridges
The present invention provides a connector for push-connecting a cartridge containing vaporizable material, such as a 510-cartridge, to a power-supplying device. The connector includes a housing containing electrical contacts, a cartridge-receiving end for receiving a conductive end of the cartridge, and a flexible, preferably silicone, ring connected to the cartridge receiving end of the housing for retaining the conductive end of the cartridge inserted therethrough against the electrical contacts. The ring is preferably part of a silicon boot that houses the housing.
AROMATHERAPY CONVECTION HEATING CONTROL SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are aspects of portable vaporizers to deliver aliquots of heated air to material in a furnace. The furnace is multipurposed reducing heat loss, air leakage and delays in availability of air aliquots at the proper temperature for use. By dividing the furnace with an air permeable divider and placing material in the chamber a controller selectively providing electrical power to a heating element configured to heat air furnace. Upon application of suction to the fluid passage heated air passes through a divider which shapes the head of the heated plume before the aliquot of air reaches the material. A controller in signal communications with at least one temperature sensor controls the power flow to a heater to control the temperature produced by heating element(s).
Smoking Apparatus and Method
Apparatus consistent with the present disclosure may be a pipe that includes heat transfer materials that have a thermal conductivity of greater than 50 Watts per meter Kelvin. Heat transfer materials may include one or more solid heat sinks (that are rigidly connected to each other or to a portion of the pipe), Peltier devices, or loose fill of a desired size or shape. Fill included in the pipe may also absorb particulate matter or volatile organic compounds. As a user burns or vaporizes materials at one end of the pipe and sucks heated smoke or vapor into the pipe, that user may inhale cool and clean smoke or vapor. Methods and apparatus consistent with the present disclosure may allow a controller at the pipe to send sensor or consumption data to other electronic devices when a number of milligrams of a substance inhaled by a patient are monitored.
OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR WITH REMOVABLE SIEVE BED CANISTER ASSEMBLY
An oxygen concentrator may have a compressor to feed a feed gas for sieve bed(s) via a first manifold, an accumulator to receive enriched air from the bed(s) via a second manifold. It may include an outer housing for the manifolds, the compressor, and the accumulator. The housing may include an access portal to a compartment therein, for removably receiving the bed(s) as a canister assembly. The first manifold may be adjacent to the compartment and have inlet coupling(s) for removably coupling respectively with inlet(s) of the canister assembly. The inlet coupling(s) may each have a first central axis. The second manifold may be adjacent to the compartment and have outlet coupling(s) for removably coupling respectively with outlet(s) of the canister assembly. The outlet coupling(s) may each having a second central axis. The first and second central axes may form any one of an obtuse, acute, or right angle.
