Method and systems for the delivery of oxygen enriched gas
Described herein are various embodiments of an oxygen concentrator system and method of delivering oxygen enriched gas to a user. In some embodiments, oxygen concentrator system includes one or more components that improve the efficiency of oxygen enriched gas delivery during operation of the oxygen concentrator system. In some embodiments, time measurements based on the penultimate breath taken by the user are used to alter the oxygen delivery parameters.
Monitoring system for identifying an end-exhalation carbon dioxide value of enhanced clinical utility
A medical monitoring system for identifying an end-exhalation carbon dioxide value of enhanced clinical utility is described herein. The medical monitoring system can include a capnometer for generating an output corresponding to a time-series of exhaled carbon dioxide values from a patient during an exhalation and a processor programmed to analyze the exhalation. In some examples, the processor can also be programmed to identify a peak carbon dioxide value at an end of the exhalation, determine if the peak carbon dioxide value may have been higher if the exhalation had been prolonged, and provide an output responsive to said determination.
GAS VALVE FOR VENTILATION, A CIRCUIT FOR A VENTILATION SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR DETERMINING A RELEASING GAS FLOW
A gas valve (11) for ventilation which comprises a main body (12) having a first gas chamber (13), a second gas chamber (15) and at least an inlet duct (14) for supplying a gas to the first gas chamber (13). The gas valve (11) further comprises a proportional valve (24) for temporally sealing the first gas chamber (13) from the second gas chamber (15). The second gas chamber (15) comprises at least a second passage opening (22) for releasing the gas from the second gas chamber (15) and the second gas chamber (15) comprises a port (30) for connecting a pressure measurement apparatus for measuring the gas pressure in the second gas chamber (15). A circuit with a ventilation limb which comprises a gas valve (11) and a method for determining a releasing gas flow of a gas valve are also disclosed.
Aerosol delivery device
An aerosol delivery system that includes an aerosol generator that aerosolizes a fluid for delivery to a patient. The aerosol generator includes a housing with a fluid chamber that fluidly communicates with a housing inlet and a housing outlet. Within the housing, the aerosol generator includes a support plate with an aperture that fluidly communicates with the housing outlet. A vibratable member couples to the support plate across the aperture. A piezoelectric actuator also couples to the support plate, and in operation expands and contracts to vibrate the vibratable member, which aerosolizes a fluid. The aerosol generator receives fluid through a fluid conduit that couples to the housing.
METHOD FOR EVALUATING VOLUME RESPONSIVENESS AND MEDICAL DEVICE
This disclosure provides a method for evaluating volume responsiveness and a medical device. The medical device includes a respiratory assistance device for providing respiratory support for a patient, and a first sensor for collecting physiological parameters of the patient and a processor. When volume responsiveness evaluation is needed, the processor controls ventilation parameters to switch to a second ventilation parameter that may increase the variation of the intrathoracic pressure of the patient, and then uses a parameter variation capable of reflecting the heartbeat of the patient to evaluate whether the patient is volume responsive.
VENTILATOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A ventilator includes a ventilation drive configured to drive ventilation gas from a gas source to a patient and a patient interface section configured to guide inspiratory gas from the ventilation drive to a patient connection, receive expiratory gas from the patient connection, and expel the expiratory gas out of the ventilator. The ventilation drive and patient interface section are configured to removably connect to at least one host comprising a ventilation path portion so as to divert the inspiratory gas through the ventilation path portion of the host when connected thereto.
VENTILATOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A ventilator system includes a ventilator and a host. The ventilator comprises a ventilation drive configured to drive ventilation gas from a gas source to a patient and a patient interface section configured to guide inspiratory gas along an inspiratory path from the ventilation drive to a patient connection, and guide expiratory gas along an expiratory path from the patient connection out of the ventilator. The patient interface section is configured to releasably connect to the ventilation drive. The ventilator is configured to removably connect to the host such that at least one of the inspiratory path and the expiratory path are diverted through the host when the ventilator is removably connected to the host.
VENTILATOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A portable ventilator includes a ventilation drive configured to drive ventilation gas from a gas source to a patient, wherein the portable ventilator is configured to removably connect to a host such that when the portable ventilator is connected to the host the ventilation drive drives ventilation gas from a host gas source to the patient and when the portable ventilator is not connected to the host the ventilation drive drives ventilation gas from a portable gas source to the patient.
METHODS, DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR PULMONARY DELIVERY OF ACTIVE AGENTS
Provided herein is a method of pulmonary delivering to a subject at least one pharmacologically active agent being in a plant material, which is effected by pulmonary delivering the agent to the subject using a metered dose inhaler device that is configured to vaporize at least one pre-determined vaporized amount of the agent upon controllably heating the plant material, wherein the pre-determined vaporized amount is selected so as to achieve at least one pre-determined pharmacokinetic effect and/or at least one pre-determined pharmacodynamic effect induced by the agent in the subject.
Systems and methods for an inductively heated anesthetic vaporizer
Systems and methods are provided for delivering anesthetic agent to a patient. In one embodiment, an anesthetic vaporizer includes a vaporizing chamber configured to hold a liquid anesthetic agent, and an inductive heating element positioned exterior to the vaporizing chamber and housed within a gas-tight barrier, the inductive heating element operated to selectively heat a target.
