SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING MEDICAL DEVICES
Controlling a multi-device module includes a physiological sensor configured to sense physiological characteristics of a subject and generate a signal indicative of an instantaneous physiological state. A first device is configured to generate a first signal indicative of an operating state of the first device. A second device is configured to generate a second signal indicative of an operating state of the second device. A remote-control device includes a repository for storing computer executable files aggregated from a plurality of changing private networks. The remote-control device includes an electronic record (ER) client to make a wireless connection with each of the private networks and to query ER database associated with the private networks for electronic records residing within the private networks.
AIRWAY DEVICE
An airway device for a subject which has an airway tube having a distal end and a proximal end, and a laryngeal mask disposed surrounding the distal end of the airway tube, wherein the inner part of the laryngeal mask has a hollow body filled with a biocompatible thermosensitive hydrogel, wherein the biocompatible thermosensitive hydrogel is gelified within a temperature range such that the biocompatible thermosensitive hydrogel, upon being gelified, allows the laryngeal mask to fit over the circumference of a laryngeal inlet of the subject.
LARYNX MASK HAVING A CONNECTOR
A larynx mask is provided that comprises a dorsal cover plate with an inflatable cuff integrally formed thereon and a tube connecting connector having an insertion section for connecting to an insertion tube. Two separate lumens are provided in the region of the insertion section, these being the esophageal lumen and a respiration lumen. These two lumens are separated from each other by a separating and supporting, wall. The separating and supporting wall extends from the insertion section to the tip of the larynx mask. While the esophageal lumen opens into an esophageal outlet at the proximal end of the mask, the respiration lumen opens in the ventral direction and is closed in the proximal direction close to the tip of the mask. Such a larynx mask is produced in one piece by way of injection of molding and is reinforced by the separating or supporting wall to prevent kinking.
Reversible airway device and related method for ventilating a subject
A reversible airway device can include a tubular guide, a laryngeal mask, and an endotracheal tube. The tubular guide can have a distal end portion, a proximal end portion, and a first passageway extending between the distal and proximal end portions. The tubular guide can further include a first longitudinal seam. The laryngeal mask can be attached to the distal end portion of the tubular guide. The laryngeal mask can include an opening in fluid communication with the first passageway. The laryngeal mask can further include a second longitudinal seam. The endotracheal tube can be slidably disposed within the first passageway and have a second passageway. The first and second longitudinal seams can be adapted to permit ingress and egress of the tubular guide from the airway without detaching the endotracheal tube from a ventilation source.
Self-deployed cuff and skirt tracheal tube
A method and system for an endotracheal tube or tracheostomy a tube formed with a hole, a cuff connected to the tube and formed around the hole, and a skirt connected to the tube above the cuff and draped over the cuff. A coating of a hydrophobic, lipophobic, and oleophobic substance can be disposed on the interior and exterior surface of the tube, the cuff, and the skirt. A stylet and siring may be used to secure the skirt during insertion in a detachable fashion. The string is retractable on withdrawal of the stylet.

SUCTION DEVICES FOR MEDICAL DEVICES AND MEDICAL DEVICE SYSTEMS INCLUDING SUCTION DEVICES
A suction device for use with a medical device may include a suction device body and an extension. The suction device body may include a first lumen positioned therein and including a plurality of holes. The extension may include a second lumen positioned therein and may be coupled to the suction device body and configured to facilitate connection of the suction device body to a suction line. The second lumen may be in communication with/open to the first lumen and the suction line may be adapted for connection to a pump configured to apply a negative pressure to the first and second lumens. The suction device may evacuate fluids and/or solids from a patient in an area proximate to the suction device.
AIRWAY MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An airway management device comprising a body having a proximal end for receiving an oxygen supply tube and an distal end for insertion into a trachea of a patient; said body including a linear portion adjacent to the proximal end and a curved portion adjacent to the distal end; said body including an external shell and having a first bore through said shell for receiving the oxygen supply tube; wherein flexural strength for said airway management device is provided by said shell.
Artificial Airway Device
An artificial airway device 1 to facilitate lung ventilation of a patient, comprising an airway tube 2 including a lumen 3, a mask 4 at one end of the airway tube, the mask including a backplate 5 and having a peripheral formation 6 capable of forming a seal around the circumference of the laryngeal inlet, the peripheral formation surrounding a hollow interior space or lumen 7 of the mask and the airway tube 2 opening into the lumen of the mask 4, and a connector 8 disposed at the proximal end of the airway tube, the connector including a main bore 9 for passage of gas to the airway tube lumen 3, and a wall 10 defining a circumference and including a plurality of ports 12 to allow passage of gas to the main bore, at least one port 12 being disposed for circumferential rotational movement relative to the main bore 9.
Camera tube with guide surface for intubation stylet and method of use
A method involves using a camera tube in connection with a laryngeal mask. The camera tube cooperates with an intubation stylet. The camera tube is an elongate member having a length extending between opposite distal and proximal ends. The distal end of the camera tube has a camera. The camera tube has an exterior surface and an intubation stylet guide support surface extending radially outward from the exterior surface along a portion of the length adjacent to the distal end. The intubation stylet guide support surface is configured to cooperate with an intubation stylet. The user may manipulate the proximal end of the camera tube to change the orientation of the intubation stylet with in the laryngeal mask while using the camera to visualize the patient's laryngeal opening. Once the intubation stylet is aligned with the patient's laryngeal opening, the intubation stylet may be advanced therethrough.
