A patient interface for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a nasal prong assembly including a pair of nasal prongs structured to sealingly communicate with nasal passages of a patient's nose in use and headgear to maintain the nasal prong assembly in a desired position on the patient's face. The headgear includes side straps and rigidizers provided to respective side straps. Each rigidizer includes a first end portion that provides a connector structured to engage a respective end of the nasal prong assembly and an inwardly curved protrusion in the form of a cheek support that curves inwardly of the connector. The cheek support is adapted to follow the contour of the patient's cheek and guide a respective end portion of the side strap into engagement with the patient's cheek to provide a stable cheek support.
MASK SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THE SAME
A mask system including a frame module and a cushion module provided to the frame module and adapted to form a seal with the patient's face. The cushion module includes a main body defining a breathing chamber and adapted to interface with the frame module and a cushion adapted to form a seal with the patient's face. The main body and the cushion are comolded with one another.
FACIAL MASK APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MAKING
A face mask for extended wear by a user including a customized, contoured facial mask portion constructed and configured to cover and matingly contact a corresponding contoured surface area of a human face, preferably formed by 3D printing methods and materials. The face mask includes strap attachments and at least one strap for securing the customized, contoured facial mask portion to the face.
FACIAL MASK APPARATUS WITH REMOVABLE FILTER
A face mask for extended wear by a user including a customized, contoured facial mask portion constructed and configured to cover and matingly contact a corresponding contoured surface area of a human face, preferably formed by 3D printing methods and materials. The face mask includes strap attachments and at least one strap for securing the customized, contoured facial mask portion to the face. The face mask includes at least one replaceable air filter for filtering out viral or bacterial pathogens.
Quick adjust mask and method for using the same
An apparatus for supplying a patient with oxygen in emergency and/or in conjunction with CPAP devices. The apparatus includes a face mask connected to a number of quick pull adjustment devices that adjust the top and bottom of the face mask, respectively. After being slid over the head of a patient, a paramedic or other user pulls a top strap followed by a bottom strap. No further adjustment is needed in order to form a tight and secure fit on the patient between the face mask and the nose and mouth region of the patient's face. During use, a CPAP inlet or tubing, resuscitation bag, or other means for delivering oxygen is connected to an inlet of the face mask. The face mask is removed from the patient by manipulating each of the quick pull adjustment devices and then pulling the top strap and bottom strap there through.
Medical headgear
A flexible band for a medical headgear comprises an inner surface, an opposite outer surface, and a non-stretch central portion having a friction pad disposed on the inner surface. The friction pad is formed from a grip or tacky material and is disposed at least partially between the inner surface and the outer surface of the non-stretch central portion in a solidified state of the friction pad.
PAP system
A respiratory system is configured to pressurize and deliver a flow of respiratory gas to a patient's airways. The respiratory system includes a cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's face and a blower mounted to the cushion and configured to pressurize a flow of respiratory gas. An interface structure is attached to an outlet of the blower and an aperture in the cushion. The interface structure forms a gas flow path between the cushion and the blower. The gas flow path is configured to deliver the pressurized respiratory gas from the blower through the aperture in the cushion. The gas flow path is also configured to vent exhaled gas from the aperture in the cushion to atmosphere. The respiratory system also includes headgear configured to support the cushion and the blower on the patient's face.
Device for positioning a patient interface
Disclosed is a supporting device for a patient interface on the forehead of the patient. The supporting device has an adjustment by means of a self-acting, incorporated spring element and, depending on the tightening force of the harness, the forehead pad presses onto the forehead of the user as a result of the spring force and thus provides the patient interface at a spacing which is suitable for the patient and provides optimum, fault-free adaptation.
