Latches for gates and doors

A latch has a displaceable latching element in a housing for engagement with a separate striker arm to be latched behind an engagement shoulder of the latching element. The housing mounts a cylinder lock to receive a key from the front. A rotor is mounted on the rear of cylinder lock and rotation of the key rotation the rotor to drive a locking element to engage and lock the latching element. The rotor may also be axial displaceable against spring biasing responsive to a rear unit pushing element whereby unlocking from a rear cylinder lock may rotate the rotor to unlock and pushing causes the latching element to be displaced against its biasing to release the striker arm. Embodiments include a gravity biased and manually opened latch and a spring biased self-locking embodiment.

ACCESS CONTROL DEVICES OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCK MODULE TYPE

An access control device including an electromagnetic lock module for selectively locking and unlocking a door in a door frame is provided. The access control device provides a lower profiled electromagnetic lock module to improve the aesthetics and functionality of the module, supports and integrates modern accessories such as CCTV, CCD cameras, passive motion detection with automatic background correction, digital notification display, automatic source voltage selection, door and lock status indicators, and ease of installation. The present invention further provides components and circuitry to enable connection of the electromagnetic control module to 12 or 24 volts DC or to an unfiltered rectified AC power supply.

A deadbolt knob security device is provided, whereby rotation of the deadbolt knob is linked to motion of an intermediate member assembly secured to a door element positioned next to the deadbolt knob. The device comprises several embodiments for surrounding the exposed interior knob of a deadbolt, as well as several embodiments for the adjustable intermediate member assembly between the deadbolt knob attachment and door knob attachment, wherein a door knob attachment member is provided in a U-shaped configuration to surround a door knob stem. Adjustability for accommodating doors of different design and specification is provided, while an electronic security monitor is accommodated along the device to monitor for tampering of the device while installed.

Systems and methods for modular locking

Embodiments of the present invention relate generally to a locker bay system. Specifically, in some embodiments the locker bay includes a catch loop coupled to the locker door and a locking mechanism that releaseably secures the catch loop to lock and unlock the locker bay. The locking mechanism, in some embodiments, includes a lock bar that pulls and pushes the catch loop in and out of the lock bar to lock and unlock the locker bay.

Apparatus for opening and closing entrance

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for opening and closing an entrance. The apparatus includes: first and second door handles which are configured to be pushed or pulled; a moving unit which is coupled to the first and second door handles; a rotating unit which is rotatably coupled on a rotating shaft and locked to the moving unit so that when the moving unit horizontally moves, the rotating unit rotates around the rotating shaft; an actuating member which is locked to the rotating unit and moved in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the moving unit moves; a latch unit which is fixed to the actuating member so that the latch unit is ejected from or retracted into the door by the movement of the actuating member; and a restoring spring which is wrapped around the rotating shaft and fixed to the door lock housing and the rotating unit.

Apparatus for opening and closing front entrance

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for opening and closing a front entrance. The apparatus includes: a door lock housing which has an opening in which a latch bolt is disposed; first and second door handles which are provided on the door and configured to be pushed or pulled; a movable member which is disposed in the door lock housing and horizontally moved by pushing or pulling either the first door handle or the second door handle, with a lift guide block provided on the movable member; a rotating unit which includes a roller and a bent part; a latch bolt coupling unit which is locked to the bent part of the rotating unit and coupled to the latch bolt; and a restoring spring which is configured such that the rotating unit is returned to its original state.
