CATHETER
A catheter allowing injection or aspiration of fluid at any desired position along an entire circumference of the catheter. The catheter may include a first hollow body having an inner lumen, and a second hollow body covering an outer periphery of the first hollow body and having an outside lumen between the first hollow body and the second hollow body. The outside lumen is divided by partition walls connected to the first hollow body and the second hollow body to form a plurality of outer lumens. On an outer periphery of the second hollow body, holes are formed for the respective outer lumens along a circumferential direction of the second hollow body. Alternatively, the catheter may include a plurality of tubes disposed on an outer periphery of the hollow body, and may include a hole formed in each of the tubes along a circumferential direction of the hollow body.
PHYSIOLOGICAL SENSOR DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD
An intravascular sensor delivery device for measuring a physiological parameter of a patient, such as blood pressure, within a vascular structure or passage. In some embodiments, the device can be used to measure the pressure gradient across a stenotic lesion or heart valve. For example, such a device may be used to measure fractional flow reserve (FFR) across a stenotic lesion in order to assess the severity of the lesion. The sensor delivery device has a distal sleeve configured to pass or slide over a standard medical guidewire. Some distance back from the sensor and distal sleeve, the device separates from the guidewire to permit independent control of the sensor delivery device and the guidewire. The sensor delivery device can be sized to pass over different sizes of guidewires to enable usage in coronary and peripheral arteries, for example.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERITONEAL OXYGENATION
Embodiments of the invention provide apparatus, systems and method for introducing fluids into a body cavity for treatment. One embodiment provides an apparatus for treating a patient including an access device for insertion into the peritoneal cavity of the patient including an infusion member in a lumen of the access device. An oxygenated solution may be infused and removed into and out of the cavity via the infusion member.

Multi-lumen catheter with enhanced flow features
A multi-lumen catheter including an elliptical cross-sectional profile configuration that enhances fluid flow rate while minimizing the average diameter of the catheter body is disclosed. In one embodiment the catheter includes an elongate catheter tube defining a plurality of lumens. At least a portion of the longitudinal length of the catheter tube may define an elliptical cross section, in turn defined by a major axis and a minor axis. In one embodiment, a ratio of the major axis to the minor axis of the elliptical cross section is between about 1.3 and about 1.4. The catheter body can define two, three, or more lumens. In one embodiment, a dual-lumen catheter tube includes an aspect ratio of about 1.1:1, and each lumen thereof includes an inner surface defined by a plurality of radii and an hourglass-shaped septum.
Multi-lumen catheters and related methods of manufacture
A method of making a multi-lumen catheter may include disposing an outer surface of a mandrel against an outer surface of a first catheter; disposing a first heat shrink material around the first catheter and the mandrel; heating the first catheter and the mandrel to form a U-shaped channel along the outer surface of the first catheter; removing the first heat shrink material and the mandrel from the first catheter; placing a second catheter into the U-shaped channel; disposing a second heat shrink material around the first catheter and the second catheter such that the second catheter is retained within the U-shaped channel; and heating the first catheter and the second catheter to cause reflow between the first catheter and the second catheter to form the multi-lumen catheter.
MULTI-CHANNEL CATHETER INSERT
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a flexible extrusion having a number of radially extending members configured for slidable insertion into a lumen of a surgical catheter shaft. In an illustrative example, the extrusion may have a flexible wall and define an interior insert lumen extending along the longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end. Each of the radially extending members may have a distal engaging surface. When the extrusion is slidably inserted, for example, into the lumen of the catheter shaft, the distal engaging surface of each of the plurality of radial extending members may slidably engage an interior surface of the catheter shaft. In some examples, the inserted extrusion may define an annular distribution of longitudinally extending channels between a proximal and a distal end of the catheter. The slidable construction may advantageously simplify assembly, for example. The channels may offer end-to-end communication.
DEPLOYING SPLIT-TIP HEMODIALYSIS CATHETER IN A RIGHT ATRIUM
A split-tip catheter and methods for deploying a split-tip catheter in a right atrium are provided. The catheter is configured with a distal potion including a first and a second distal end regions elastically divergable from alignment along a splitting plane to regain a relaxed configuration. The first distal end region terminates in a first tip having a first forward opening, and the second distal end region terminates in a second tip having a second forward opening. Catheter deployment may include directing the first forward opening generally towards an anterior right atrium wall portion and applying the first forward opening to withdraw blood from the right atrium.
Catheter with Variable Length Extension Leg
A catheter assembly for organizing a catheter system is disclosed. The catheter assembly can include a molded hub, a catheter tube coupled to a distal end of the molded hub, a plurality of extension legs having distal ends coupled to the molded hub, and a securing mechanism. The molded hub can include a pair of hub lumens forming a hub portion of a pair of fluid pathways through the catheter assembly. The catheter tube can include a pair of catheter tube lumens. The securing mechanism can be configured to secure the plurality of extension legs together. The securing mechanism can be in the form of a slidable collar including a proximal opening and distal opening, wherein the slidable collar is positioned over the plurality of extension legs.
Multilumen Body for a Medical Device
A multilumen body for a medical device, comprising a first tubular element and a second tubular element, which is arranged in the first tubular element and which is in contact with the first tubular element at least in sections and movable relative to the first tubular element, an inner surface of the first tubular element having a first profile and/or an outer surface of the second tubular element having a second profile so that the contact surface between the first tubular element and the second tubular element is smaller than without the first profile and/or without the second profile. The multilumen body is characterized in that the first profile and/or the second profile include a plurality of alternating elevations and depressions, wherein a maximum distance between two neighboring elevations is 100 μm.
