An introducer sheath is described. The introducer sheath may include a tubular body. The tubular body may extend from a distal end toward a proximal end. The tubular body may include a lumen. The lumen may at least partially be defined by a wall. A channel may be disposed within the wall. The channel may be configured to receive a guidewire. The tubular body may include an expandable portion expandable to increase a cross-sectional area of the lumen.
Trimmable catheter including distal portion stability features
A catheter tube for insertion into a body of a patient is disclosed. The catheter tube includes a distal portion that remains stable during fluid infusion into the patient, thus reducing or eliminating whipping of the catheter distal tip, even during power injection. In one embodiment, the catheter tube defines at least one lumen and is formed from a tube material that defines a proximal portion and a distal portion of the catheter tube. The catheter tube is configured such that the arithmetic product of an elastic modulus and an area moment of inertia for at least a portion of the distal portion of the catheter tube defined by the catheter tube material is greater relative the arithmetic product of an elastic modulus and an area moment of inertia for at least a portion of the proximal portion of the catheter tube.
Multilumen Catheter
An intravascular device delivery system includes an elongated member with a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis therebetween. The elongated member includes a multilumen catheter having a catheter wall with a plurality of lumen in the catheter wall. The plurality of lumen extends from a proximal end of the elongated member to a distal end of the elongated member. A lumen ratio of the cross-sectional area of the plurality of lumen and the cross sectional area of the catheter wall is greater than 30%.

A single or multiple lumen catheter is disclosed which includes an expandable lumen. The expandable lumen is movable from a collapsed or sealed configuration to an open or expanded configuration. In the open configuration, the expandable lumen is dimensioned to receive a guidewire or stylet or facilitate the introduction of fluids into a patient.
Multi-lumen catheter including an elliptical profile
A multi-lumen catheter including an elliptical cross-sectional profile configuration that enhances fluid flow rate while minimizing the average diameter of the catheter body is disclosed. In one embodiment the catheter comprises an elongate catheter tube defining a plurality of lumens. At least a portion of the longitudinal length of the catheter tube defines an elliptical cross section, in turn defined by a major axis and a minor axis. A ratio of the major axis to the minor axis of the elliptical catheter tube cross section is between about 1.3 and about 1.4 in one embodiment. The catheter body can define two, three, or more lumens, in one embodiment.
Catheter assembly
Novel catheter constructions comprising thin covering or wrapping materials such as polymer films. A catheter provided with a guidewire catheter lumen having a thin covering that is easily punctured by a guidewire at virtually any desired point along the catheter length. The thin covering may be integral with the catheter shaft, or may be a separate component that covers only the portion of the catheter shaft immediately adjacent the outer portion of the guidewire lumen, or may be a thin tubular construct that surrounds the entire catheter shaft. Moreover, polymer film can be used in combination with one or more elements to produce novel catheter constructions.
Multi-Lumen Catheter With Enhanced Flow Features
A method for forming a catheter tube assembly includes providing a reinforcement structure and disposing a catheter tube over the reinforcement structure. The reinforcement structure includes a first outer wall reinforcement portion, a second outer wall reinforcement portion, and a septum reinforcement portion connecting the first outer wall reinforcement portion to the second outer wall reinforcement portion. The catheter tube includes an outer wall and a septum. The catheter tube is disposed over the reinforcement structure such that the catheter tube septum envelopes the septum reinforcement portion of the reinforcement structure.
CATHETER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THEREOF
A catheter comprising: an elongate body having: a first lumen defined in, and extending along, the elongate body, the first lumen having a first lumen cross-sectional area; a second lumen defined in, and extending along, the elongate body, the second lumen having a second cross-sectional area; and an internal wall separating the first lumen and the second lumen, the internal wall being resilient and is moveable between: a rest state; and a deflected state, in which the first lumen cross-sectional area is increased, and the second lumen cross-sectional area is decreased. In the rest state, the internal wall is curved towards the first lumen and away from the second lumen, and in the deflected state, the internal wall is curved towards the second lumen and away from the first lumen.
