SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING FLOW PARAMETERS OF ADMINISTERED FLUID FROM RADIOEMBOLIZATION DELIVERY DEVICE
Methods and systems for determination of flow parameters of administered fluid from a radioembolization delivery device may include translationally moving a device delivery arm of the radioembolization delivery device in a translational direction, wherein the device delivery arm is coupled to a syringe holder such that move in the translational direction one of proximally or distally advances the syringe holder; sensing, via one or more pattern sensors, a corresponding movement of a pattern associated with the translational device delivery arm movement as a sensed pattern movement; generating, via the one or more pattern sensors, one or more output signals based on the sensed pattern movement; and generating, via a processor, a flow rate of the administered fluid, a flow amount of the administered fluid, and/or the translational direction of movement of the device delivery arm with respect to the syringe holder based on the one or more
Devices and methods for assisting cardiac function
Devices and methods for assisting cardiac function. In an exemplary embodiment of a device for assisting heart function of the present disclosure, the device includes a first plate and an opposing second plate, each plate having an inner surface, a cardiac processor coupled to at least one of the first plate and the second plate, a bladder having an inner chamber and disposed between the inner surfaces, and a first catheter having a proximal end in communication with the inner chamber of the bladder and a distal end having a first pericardial balloon coupled thereto, wherein a gas and/or a liquid within the inner chamber of the bladder can be injected into the first pericardial balloon upon compression of the first plate relative to the second plate, and wherein the gas and/or the liquid can be removed from the first pericardial balloon upon retraction of the first plate relative to the second plate.
Multilumen catheter
An intravascular device delivery system includes an elongated member with a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis therebetween. The elongated member includes a multilumen catheter having a catheter wall with a plurality of lumen in the catheter wall. The plurality of lumen extends from a proximal end of the elongated member to a distal end of the elongated member. A lumen ratio of the cross-sectional area of the plurality of lumen and the cross sectional area of the catheter wall is greater than 30%.
Flexible tip catheter
In some examples, a catheter includes an elongated body comprising proximal and distal portions. The distal portion of the elongated body comprises an inner liner that includes a proximal liner section and a distal liner section that include different materials, and an outer jacket positioned over the inner liner. The distal liner section has a first hardness and the proximal liner section has a second hardness, where the first hardness is less than the second hardness.
DUAL-STAGE SYRINGES FOR INDEPENDENT DELIVERY OF TWO OR MORE FLUIDS
In the present disclosure, embodiments of dual-stage syringes are disclosed along with delivery systems incorporating the dual-stage syringes. Embodiments of the dual-stage syringes described herein include sleeved dual-stage syringes, turn-key dual-stage syringes and dual-stage syringes including one or more one-way valves.
MICROSPHERE CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In the present disclosure, embodiments of microbead containment systems and containment methods are disclosed. The microbead containment system may include a microsphere container, which includes walls that define a containment space in the microsphere container, and microspheres within the containment space. The walls may include at least one magnetic component configured to produce a magnetic field within the containment space. The microspheres may include a diamagnetic material. The method of containing radioactive microspheres may include loading a plurality of microspheres comprising a diamagnetic material in a container comprising one or more magnetic components. The microspheres contained in the microsphere container interact with the magnetic field in a manner that prevents direct contact of the microspheres and the microsphere container.
CATHETER WITH FLARING TIP
In the present disclosure, embodiments of flaring tip microcatheters, methods of deploying flaring tip microcatheters, and embolization treatment methods are disclosed. The flaring tip microcatheter may include a hollow shaft having a shaft lumen defined therein, a core disposed within the shaft lumen, and a tip comprising at least two petals affixed to a distal end of the core, the at least two petals comprising at least two wires wherein the core is hollow and defines a core lumen. The at least two wires may be configured to pull the at least two petals to form a flared configuration of the tip. The flared configuration of the tip may allow for laminar flow of a therapeutic agent distally from the tip.
Multi-lumen cannulae
The present disclosure concerns embodiments of multi-lumen cannulae that can be used in various different medical procedures. The multi-lumen cannulae can comprise an elongated body comprising multiple different ports that connect to various different sidewall lumens contained within the elongated body. The multi-lumen cannulae can also comprise a central lumen that extends through the entire elongated body and can be fluidly connected to the various different sidewall lumens. The multi-lumen cannulae can further comprise two balloons on an exterior of the elongated body, which can be used to isolate a right atrium of a patient's heart.
