A venous catheter assembly includes a hub with opposing suture wings, an extension leg coupled to the hub, and an elongate catheter tube designed for insertion into a blood vessel of a patient. The elongate catheter tube is coupled to the hub and includes at least one fluid-carrying lumen within the outer wall extending between a proximal end and a distal end of the elongate catheter tube. The fluid-carrying lumen is in fluid communication with the extension leg and an opening in the outer wall at the distal end of the elongate catheter tube. The elongate catheter tube also includes at least one terminating lumen within the outer wall extending to a closed termination point.

Devices, systems, and methods for accessing the internal and external tissues of the heart are disclosed. At least some of the embodiments disclosed herein provide access to the external surface of the heart through the pericardial space for localized delivery of substances to the heart tissue. In addition, various disclosed embodiments provide access to the internal surface of the heart for aspiration and delivery of substances to a targeted region without disturbing or interfering with nearby structures or surfaces.

Balloon catheter and manufacturing method thereof, and treatment method

A balloon catheter that includes an elongated main body, a balloon connected to the elongated main body, and a base layer on the outer surface of the balloon. The base layer includes a water-soluble low-molecular weight compound. The balloon catheter also includes a plurality of elongate bodies extending radially away from the outer surface of the balloon. The elongate bodies are crystals of a water-insoluble drug. The elongate bodies each possesses an independent longitudinal axis. At least part of at least some of the elongate bodies are located in the interior of the base layer on the outer surface of the balloon.

A combination flush catheter and selective catheter as one convertible catheter and methods of using the same. The selective catheter may be a reverse curve or guide catheter. The additional steps of removal of the flush catheter and re-insertion of the selective catheter may be eliminated, reducing the possibility of errors and making the procedure smoother and shorter.

Embolic compositions and methods

An embolization system and methods for controlling solidification of embolic compositions comprising a first and a second embolic component that react with each other in vivo at a target site to form an embolic material, with the embolic components being dilutable in physiological fluids so that they do not form an embolic composition at a site that is not desired.

Medical Device for Stone Management

A medical device for stone management comprises a catheter comprising a proximal end, a distal end, and a first lumen and a second lumen disposed therethrough. A handle assembly is interconnected with the proximal end of the catheter, the handle assembly comprising a body defining an interior cavity, a first section and a second section. An interior passageway is disposed within the interior cavity and in fluid communication with the first lumen of the catheter. A valve assembly interconnected with the interior passageway. An actuator assembly is engaged with the valve assembly, the actuator having a first position and a second position. A vacuum port is in communication with the interior passageway and positioned on the second section of the handle. The second section of the handle forms an angle with respect to the first section of the handle.

Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods for the removal of objects from the body. The device may be a urethral catheter configured to aspirate kidney stones from the urinary tract through one or more aspiration ports at the distal face or along a lateral side of the catheter. The catheter may include one or more irrigation ports at the distal face or along the lateral side of the catheter for dislodging kidney stones. The device may be steerable. The spatial arrangement of the one or more irrigation ports with respect to the one or more aspiration ports may vary. The device may include an irrigation tube and/or a shield member configured to spatially confine the kidney stones adjacent the catheter. Various temporal patterns of aspiration and irrigation are disclosed for optimizing removal of kidney stones.

HYDROGEL CO-INJECTION AND REAL-TIME OPTO-ELECTROMAGNETIC MODIFICATION DEVICE FOR TUNABLE IN-VIVO DELIVERY

Described herein are systems, devices and methods that enable dynamic modification of the physicochemical properties of a hydrogel during its in vivo formation and delivery by a catheter. In some example embodiments, an extended endoluminal hydrogel delivery device is employed for delivering a hydrogel within given body cavity, such as within the lumen of a blood vessels. In some example embodiments, a hydrogel precursor, as a non-viscous liquid, is injected through an intravascular catheter and crosslinking of the hydrogel precursor is initiated within a distal region of the catheter. The crosslinking process is controlled, by a control means associated with a distal region of the catheter, to control or modify one or more properties of the hydrogel. The properties may be controlled such that a hydrogel is suitable to embolize the specific target or deliver drugs or other materials beneficial to the site.
