METHODS FOR ROUTING A GUIDEWIRE FROM A FIRST VESSEL AND THROUGH A SECOND VESSEL IN LOWER EXTREMITY VASCULATURE
A catheter system can include a tubular body, and at least one of a targeting system coupled to the tubular body, an expandable member, or a fluid injection port. A method of identifying a bifurcation can include inserting a catheter system into a first vessel, positioning the catheter system at a first location, expanding an expandable member to occlude the first vessel, delivering contrast material so the contrast material pooling proximate to the expandable member, and reviewing a shape of the contrast material in the first vessel under fluoroscopy.
REAL-TIME MOLECULAR IMAGING AND MINIMALLY-INVASIVE DETECTION IN INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY
A catheter is disclosed for locating radiation tagged tissue within a mammalian body and treating tagged tissue or untagged tissue adjacent to the tagged tissue in a single procedure. The catheter includes in or on a distal end thereof one or more detectors for locating labeled tissue. A lumen extending from a proximal end of said tube to the distal end of said tube, includes a retractable and extendable needle positioned adjacent the distal end of said tube for delivering a liquid treatment modality. the alternative the injector for delivering the treatment modality may be placed adjacent to the catheter for delivery of the treatment.
Methods for placing a stent-graft to cover collateral vessels in lower extremity vasculature
A method of diverting fluid flow from a first vessel including an occlusion to a second vessel includes deploying a prosthesis at least partially in a fistula and making valves in the second vessel incompetent. Making the valves in the second vessel incompetent includes at least one of using a reverse valvulotome to cut the valves, inflating a balloon, expanding a stent, and lining the second vessel with a stent.
SHARP TURNING STEERABLE NEEDLE
Disclosed are steerable needles having a shaft that can be controllably buckled, a steering head positioned at a distal end of the shaft, a transmission for controlling the orientation of the steering head, and a base at the end of the shaft, the base optionally comprising a controller for controlling the transmission. Also disclosed are methods of using the disclosed steerable needles.

Kit and method intended for prostate surgery
The present invention describes a method for performing a prostate surgical treatment, said method comprising: arranging a catheter 1 inside of a urethra of a patient and anchored against the bladder neck of the patient subsequent to the filling of the balloon stopper unit 5 with a fluid when the balloon stopper unit 5 is arranged inside of the bladder of a patient;
said method also comprising injecting at least one anesthetic agent and adrenaline or injecting botulinum toxin (Botox) and/or penicillin to the prostate via the injection tube 9 and the hollow tip 10 at an intended position of the prostate. Moreover, the present invention also refers to a kit comprising a catheter 1 according to the present invention and one or more syringe(s) 1000 containing adrenaline and at least one anesthetic agent and/or at least a syringe 1000 or vial containing botulinum toxin (Botox) and/or penicillin.
Apparatus, systems and methods for transvascular access to the brain
The present disclosure discusses a devices, systems and methods for transvascular, transvenous and/or transdural access, to the brain parenchyma, subarachnoid or subdural spaces. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods may be used for local drug delivery, tissue biopsy, nanofluidic or microelectronic device/component delivery/insertion/implantation, in situ imaging, ablation of abnormal brain tissue and the like. Embodiments of the present disclosure include an access catheter system for extravascular procedures in the brain having an elongate, flexible tubular body, with at least one lumen extending axially there through between a proximal end, and a distal end. The access catheter system may include a side exit port and a distal end port. Further, the access catheter system may include a selective deflector positioned within the lumen configured to deflect a procedure catheter and permit a guide catheter.
DEVICES FOR THERMALLY-INDUCED RENAL NEUROMODULATION
Methods and system are provided for thermally-induced renal neuromodulation. Thermally-induced renal neuromodulation may be achieved via direct and/or via indirect application of thermal energy to heat or cool neural fibers that contribute to renal function, or of vascular structures that feed or perfuse the neural fibers. In some embodiments, parameters of the neural fibers, of non-target tissue, or of the thermal energy delivery element, may be monitored via one or more sensors for controlling the thermally-induced neuromodulation. In some embodiments, protective elements may be provided to reduce a degree of thermal damage induced in the non-target tissues. In some embodiments, thermally-induced renal neuromodulation is achieved via delivery of a pulsed thermal therapy.
