The novel seal includes a pair of cooperating conical gaskets divided through their apexes into a plurality of edge-abutting semi-conical flaps. The seals are angularly fixed in orientation relative to each other using registering structures such as complementary tabs and sockets. More specifically, the seams where the semi-conical flaps abut are angularly off-set between the two conical gaskets by a predetermined amount.

A cannula seal is presented. The cannula seal includes a cap portion that fits over a cannula and a valve portion. The valve portion includes an hourglass seal and a cross slit seal. In some embodiments, the cap portion includes a tab. In some embodiments, the cap portion and the valve portion are integrally formed. In some embodiments, the cap portion and the valve portion are joined at a bonding region, which may include overflow traps. In some embodiments, ribs are included.

Surgical instrument guide with insufflation channels

A cannula and instrument guide assembly includes a cannula with a proximal portion and a tube. An instrument guide is removably inserted into the proximal portion of the cannula and extends through the cannula to a distal end of the tube. The proximal portion of the cannula has an insufflation port. The instrument guide provides at least one interior passageway to support a shaft of a surgical instrument that passes through the instrument guide. One or more channels on an outer surface of the instrument guide provide a passage for insufflation gas received from the insufflation port to the distal end of the tube. The one or more channels have a first cross-sectional area at a proximal end and a second, larger cross-sectional area at a distal end. The one or more channels may have the first cross-sectional area along a majority of the length of the channels.

VAGINAL ENDOSCOPIC PORT UNIT MODULE

The present invention relates to a laparoscopic port unit module in which one end thereof and the other end are placed inside and outside the human body, respectively, through the vaginal inlet, and provides a vaginal endoscopic port unit module comprising: an outer unit of which the end is exposed to the outside of the vaginal inlet and which comprises one or more outer ports allowing the entry of a surgical instrument including an endoscope; an inner unit formed at the inner wall of the vaginal canal so as to be placed at an incision region connected to the abdominal cavity and allowing the surgical instrument entering through the outer port to come in and out of the abdominal cavity; and a runner unit for connecting the outer unit and the inner unit.

UROLOGICAL DEVICE HAVING A BLADDER RETAINER AND A VALVE
20170196675 · 2017-07-13 ·

A urological device includes a valve support stem, a bladder retainer, and a urological valve. The valve support stem is adapted for placement in a urethra of a user and extends between a proximal end and a distal end. The bladder retainer is adapted for placement in a bladder of the user. The bladder retainer is connected to the valve support stem at a support stem location between the proximal end and the distal end of the valve support stem. The bladder retainer is formed as a wall of material extending radially outwardly from the valve support stem, with a proximal surface of the wall forming an acute angle relative to the valve support stem. The urological valve is disposed in the bladder retainer at a location proximal to the support stem location and proximal to the proximal surface of the wall.

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING CATHETER
20170071568 · 2017-03-16 · ·

A diagnostic imaging catheter is disclosed which includes a drive shaft, of which a distal portion is provided with a signal transmitting and receiving unit, and which can be rotated; a sheath including a lumen into which the drive shaft is inserted such that the drive shaft can be moved forward and backward; a communicating hole which is provided in a distal portion of the sheath, and through which the inside and the outside of the sheath communicate with each other; and a valve body capable of opening and closing the communicating hole. The valve body is configured to be capable of switching between a closed state in which the communicating hole is covered and blocked with the valve body and an open state which the valve body enters by being moved to the outside of the sheath from the closed state, and in which the communicating hole is open.

Urological device
09585740 · 2017-03-07 · ·

A urological device comprises a urological valve for location in the bladder of a patient and a valve support stem for location in the urethra of a patient. The valve has a normally closed configuration to prevent flow from the bladder and an open configuration for fluid flow through the valve. The valve is automatically movable from the closed configuration to the open configuration in response to a pre-set hydrodynamic pressure applied for a pre-set time. In one case the valve has a plurality of valve leaflets with a region of co-aption between the valve leaflets. In the normally closed configuration the valve leaflets are engaged at the region of co-aption and in the open configuration the leaflets are separated at the co-aption region for fluid flow through the valve.

Dressing with integrated pump and releasably coupled pump actuator

A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure including a tissue interface, a cover, a chamber wall, and a base. The cover may be adapted to be sealed to epidermis proximate the tissue site. The chamber wall may define a pump chamber, wherein the pump chamber may be adapted to be fluidly coupled to the tissue interface. The base may extend from the chamber wall, wherein the base may be fluidly sealed to the cover. The dressing may include an intake valve and an exhaust valve fluidly coupled to the pump chamber. The pump chamber may be compressed to evacuate fluid from the pump chamber through the exhaust valve. The pump chamber may then be expanded to draw fluid through the intake valve from the tissue interface. This supplies a negative pressure to the tissue interface which may be adapted to distribute negative pressure across the tissue site.
