Backflow Prevention and Method of Manufacture
A backflow prevention assembly is disclosed including a backflow prevention valve having a valve housing including a valve inlet end and a valve outlet end; a spool spacer of predetermined length having a first end and a second end; an inlet shut-off valve; and an outlet shut-off valve, wherein the spool spacer extends between the backflow prevention valve and one of the inlet shut-off valve and the outlet shut-off valve. The entire assembly, including the backflow prevention valve, the spool spacer, the inlet shut-off valve, and the outlet shut-off valve, is a certified assembly, certified by a certifying authority prior to installation. Methods of manufacturing a backflow prevention assembly and replacing a backflow prevention assembly are also disclosed.
Valve assembly for inflatable bladder and method of manufacturing the same
The present invention relates to inflatable bodies or systems with bounding walls or bladder structures and at least one valve assembly thermally bonded thereto. More particularly, the present invention provides a valve assembly for inflatable bodies typically made from a thermoplastic rubber material or the like, which will exhibit significantly increased strength and durability during inflation and while inflated, especially at and around the interface between the air valve assembly and the bounding wall of the inflatable body because of the enhanced strength of the interface through thermal sealing.

SOLENOID VALVE
In at least some implementations, a solenoid valve includes a housing, a bobbin and an armature. The bobbin is received at least partially within the housing and has a body about which a coil is provided. A fluid flow path including an inlet and an outlet and a valve seat is defined by at least one of the housing or the bobbin, and the armature is moveable relative to the valve seat to control flow through the fluid flow path.
Solenoid valve with armature stop
A solenoid valve includes a housing, a bobbin and an armature. The bobbin is received at least partially within the housing and has and internal passage and a body about which a coil is provided. The armature is moveable relative to a valve seat and the valve includes an armature stop received in the internal passage with a press-fit so that it is engaged by the armature in one position of the armature to limit movement of the armature away from the valve seat. The valve also has a biasing member located at least partially between the armature and the armature stop, the armature has a reduced diameter portion received at least partially within the biasing member, and wherein the reduced diameter portion engages the armature stop in the open position of the valve.
Plumbing fitting assemblies
Plumbing fitting assemblies are described. The plumbing fitting assemblies use a male and female fitting combination that enables a user or installer to make a sealed connection on an internal diameter of a female part or receiving end by way of an o-ringed shank on a male part or insert end. A connecting device is rotatably attached to the male end. The connecting device also engages to an outer surface of the female part such that the sealed fitting assemblies will not disconnect under normal pressure of a fluid or air working through the assemblies.
Compressor valve seat reconditioning limit indicator
A compressor valve may include a guard and a seat affixed thereto. The seat may have an inlet surface and an outlet surface opposite the inlet surface. A reconditioning limit indicator may be defined by or adjacent the outlet surface. The reconditioning limit indicator may be indicative of a maximum amount of material of the seat removable from the outlet surface during reconditioning of the seat. The reconditioning limit indicator may be a groove defined by the outer cylindrical surface of the seat, a portion of the outer cylindrical surface of the seat adjacent the outlet surface and having an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the seat, or a predetermined shape of a predetermined depth machined on the outlet surface of the seat.
Method and apparatus for isolating water valves
A method for isolating a water valve for repair or replacement includes closing the valve and thereafter replacing an outlet pipe with an adapter pipe. An expandable plug is used to seal the adapter pipe, after which the valve is opened and an air tube having a bladder on an end thereof is inserted through the valve and expanded to seal the inlet pipe. Thereafter, the stem assembly of the valve or the entire valve itself may be removed for simple replacement of the sealing washer or total replacement of the valve. The apparatus for practicing the method, and including the expandable plug, inflatable bladder, and necessary tubing, plug actuator, and air valve are presented.
METHOD OF ATTACHING OR REPLACING A PLUG ASSEMBLY
A plug assembly includes a plug stem having a plug stem base, a plug head, and a fastening mechanism for fastening the plug stem base to the plug head, the fastening mechanism comprising at least two retainer clamps that surround and provide an interference fit between the plug stem base and the plug head. A method of replacing or attaching a plug head to a plug stem includes providing a plug stem having a plug stem base, providing a plug head, providing a fastening mechanism comprising at least two retainer clamps, and coupling the fastening mechanism around the plug stem base and the plug head to provide an interference fit between the plug stem base and the plug head.
