A valve device includes a valve housing, a valve member, a limiter portion and a contact portion. The valve housing includes an upstream-side flow passage, which is communicated with an intake passage, a receiving space, which is communicated with an EGR passage, a valve chamber, which communicates between the upstream-side flow passage and the receiving space, and a valve-housing-side seal portion, which is placed around an opening that communicates between the upstream-side flow passage and the receiving space. The valve member includes a valve-member-side seal portion, which blocks communication between the intake passage and the EGR passage when the valve-member-side seal portion contacts the valve-housing-side seal portion. The rotation of the valve member is limited when the contact portion contacts the limiter portion.

A valve unit includes an actuator, a first valve and a second valve. The first/second valve includes a first/second valve housing and a first/second valve body. The first/second valve body is rotatably arranged in the first/second valve housing. The two valves are arranged coaxially to one another and rotatable about a common adjusting axis. The actuator is non-releasably coupled to the first valve body and releasably coupled to the second valve body via the first valve body. The first valve body is rotatable in a first and second direction of rotation with the actuator. The second valve body in the coupled state is co-rotatable with the first valve body in the first/second direction of rotation and in the decoupled state is not co-rotatable with the first valve body at least in the second direction of rotation. In addition, a method for adjusting the valve unit is provided.

Ball valve with integral seal retraction

Disclosed embodiments include ball valves with an asymmetric seal and seat, to minimize seal wear. In embodiments, a seal is disposed upon a ball with a first and second section, where the first section of the seal is disposed at a different angle from the second section. A seat has a first and second section at different angles that correspond to angles of the first and second section of the seal, respectively, such that the seal fully contacts the seat when the ball is in a closed position. When the ball is rotated to an open position, the different angles of the first and second sections allow the second section of the seal to clear the first section of the seat without contact.

Kit for mounting an actuator to a valve

An actuator mounting kit and method for mounting an automatic valve actuator to a manually operated valve. The mounting kit includes a mounting bracket and a stem driver. The mounting bracket is connectable to the valve and has a bottom portion with a stem aperture through which a valve stem is extendable and a tongue matingly engageable with a slot of the valve body. The mounting bracket has an upper portion with a driver aperture aligned with the stem aperture. The stem driver has a first end matingly engageable with the valve stem and a second end extendable through the driver aperture in a way that the actuator is matingly engageable with the second end of the stem driver when the actuator is connected to the upper portion of the mounting bracket.

A compact manifold ball valve having a valve body, valve ball, valve stem and two piece retainer system; the valve body including a valve chamber having first and second ends, and a first flow passage intersecting the valve chamber and valve ball. The valve ball can be trunnion supported and include pair of movable seat assemblies that can be used to seal the valve ball to the valve body. A two piece retainer can be used to hold in place the valve components, the two piece retainer including a first section which moves only linearly along with a second retainer piece that is a threaded ring that rotationally locks in place the first section of the two piece retainer. The two pieces of the retainer can be symmetrically located about the centerline of the flow passage of the valve body.

TOP ENTRY BALL VALVE

A top entry ball valve including a valve body, a valve cover, a valve stem, an assembly screw, a spring, a support sleeve, a support valve seat, a sphere, and a sealing valve seat. The valve stem passes through the valve cover and the valve body and is fixedly connected to the sphere disposed within the valve body; the valve cover is fixed to the opening of the cavity of the valve body by screws, to seal the cavity of the valve body; the sphere spherically fits with the support valve seat and the sealing valve seat; the support sleeve and the spring are provided between the support valve seat and the valve body; the spring presses the support sleeve and the support valve seat such that the support valve seat clings to the sphere; the support sleeve is fixedly connected to the valve body by the assembly screw.

Top entry soft seats floating ball valve

A top entry ball valve comprises a housing with a central cavity communicating with two bores which define a flow path through the housing. A ball valve element is provided and comprises a through bore. The ball valve element is rotatably mounted within the central cavity for rotation about an axis for selectively aligning the through bore with the housing bores. The ball valve element further comprises first and second flat surfaces on opposite sides of the ball valve element. The flat surfaces are perpendicular to the axis. The top entry ball valve further comprises first and second seats which are configured to provide a seal between the ball valve element and the central cavity. First and second protective rings are provided for receiving and supporting at least a portion of the first and second seats.
