WOUND IRRIGATION SYSTEM
A wound irrigation system and method of making and using. The system uses a pored, closed-ended delivery conduit to enhance the consistency and speed with which anti-microbial or related irrigation fluids may be delivered in order to promote cleansing, debridement and biofilm reduction in wounds. The ease of use of the system as a moist wound healing cascade makes it applicable to both in-home and in-facility environments that is not offered through traditional instillation negative pressure systems. In one form, the fluid delivery conduit is used as part of a dual-conduit approach in order to also help promote the removal of drainage, waste, irrigation overflow or other fluid from the wound. Utilization of such a pored, closed-ended delivery conduit in conjunction with a separate drainage conduit infusing helps reduce the frequency of dressing changes as well as the likelihood of microorganism formation and colonization.
PRESSURE ACTUATED FLOW CONTROL DEVICE FOR GRAVITY IV SETS
A flow control device includes a housing having a primary valve body defining a primary inlet and an outlet, a secondary valve body defining a secondary inlet and a chamber defined by an inner circumferential surface of the housing and fluidly connecting the primary and secondary inlets with the outlet. The primary and secondary inlets share a common central axis perpendicularly disposed to a central axis of the outlet. A valve member is reciprocally mounted in the chamber to block fluid communication between the secondary inlet and the outlet when fluid pressure into the primary inlet is higher than fluid pressure into the secondary inlet, and block fluid communication between the primary inlet and the outlet when fluid pressure into the secondary inlet is higher than fluid pressure into the primary inlet.
DENTAL VALVE DEVICE HAVING A FLEXIBLE TUBING
A dental valve device has a valve body having a tip receiving end having a flexible tubing extending outwardly from the tip receiving end with the flexible tubing having a flexible tubing opening, a hose receiving end, a lumen formed between the flexible tubing opening and the hose receiving end, and a partial opening formed in the valve body, and a rotatable valve sealing body adapted to be inserted into the partial opening, the rotatable valve sealing body having a bore for alignment with the lumen formed between the flexible tubing opening and the hose receiving end, the bore having a tip receiving opening and a hose receiving opening.
APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING BACKFLOW
An apparatus for preventing backflow. The apparatus includes a housing; a trap flow part forming a flow passage for a medical fluid, a discharge part provided on an lower portion of the housing and to receive the medical fluid from the trap flow part and to discharge the medical fluid; a backflow prevention chamber part provided between the trap flow part and the discharge part; and a plate-shaped backflow prevention member provided on one surface of the inner side of the backflow prevention chamber part connected to the trap flow part and in close contact with a periphery of the outlet opening, the plate-shaped backflow prevention member being provided to open or close the opening depending on forward flow and the backflow of the medical fluid.
PRESSURE-DRIVEN FLOW RATE CONTROL VALVES
A storage container having a base storage compartment configured to receive a divider by which the storage compartment is divided into two or more sub-compartments, wherein divider includes a tool configured to provide a secondary utility or function unrelated to dividing the storage compartment.
DISPOSABLE DENTAL VALVE HAVING A CHECK VALVE
A disposable dental valve device has a valve body having a tip receiving end, a hose receiving end, a lumen formed between the tip receiving end and the hose receiving end, a first partial opening formed in the valve body and a second partial opening formed in the valve body, and a movable valve sealing device adapted to being inserted into one of the partial openings, the movable valve sealing device having an opening for alignment with the lumen formed between the tip receiving end and the hose receiving end, the movable valve sealing device having a check valve positioned in the opening, and the movable valve sealing device having a top for positioning the movable valve sealing device between a closed position and an opened position.
ACCESS DEVICE WITH VALVE
A splittable sheath includes a splittable sheath body, a splittable sheath hub, and a valve element. The sheath body comprises a generally flexible tubular structure, a proximal end, and a distal end. The sheath body defines a longitudinal axis and is splittable into two halves along a pre-determined line generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. The sheath hub extends from the proximal end of the sheath body and defines a longitudinal axis generally aligned with the longitudinal axis of the sheath body. The sheath body and sheath hub form an inner cavity along their respective longitudinal axes. The valve element includes a resilient plate and a sealing element. The resilient plate includes a distal portion extending radially inwardly from a side of the inner cavity. The sealing element includes a sealing surface and is supported by the resilient plate such that the sealing element is biased toward a position against a second sealing surface on at least one of the splittable sheath body and hub to substantially seal the inner cavity.
HUFF COUGH SIMULATION DEVICE
A respiratory treatment device having an inlet configured to receive exhaled air into the device, an outlet configured to permit exhaled air to exit the device, a valve moveable in response to a threshold exhalation pressure at the inlet between a closed position where the flow of air from the inlet to the outlet is restricted, and an open exhalation position where the flow of air from the inlet to the outlet is less restricted, and a valve brace configured to support the valve, wherein a position of the valve brace relative to the valve is selectively adjustable to increase or decrease the threshold exhalation pressure.
IMAGING NEEDLE SYSTEM AND APPARATUS WITH LIGHT ENGINE
An imaging needle apparatus, associated system, and method of use are described. The apparatus includes various interchangeable modules, including a trocar assembly, a blunt cannula assembly, and an arthroscope assembly, such as a nano-arthroscope. For example, using the imaging needle apparatus, a doctor can treat a patient by inserting the trocar assembly into the patient's body, inserting the blunt cannula assembly into the body via the trocar assembly, removing the trocar assembly, and inserting the arthroscope assembly into the blunt cannula assembly. Further, the imaging needle apparatus, in some embodiments, includes a light engine that provides a light source for a camera cannula of the apparatus, such as a camera cannula that is part of the arthroscope assembly.
