CATHETER DEVICES WITH VALVES AND RELATED METHODS
Catheter assemblies and related methods. Each catheter assembly includes a catheter hub enclosing a valve and valve opener in an interior cavity. A side port of the catheter hub has a lumen opening into the interior cavity. The valve has a septum valve body and a tube valve body. When valve opener is pushed into septum valve body flaps deflect to open the valve. Fluid injected into the side port deforms the tube valve body and flows into the interior cavity. An extension can be attached to a catheter assembly and includes an extension hub having a valve and valve opener. A stopper in the extension hub vents air and blocks blood.
BALLOON ASSEMBLIES WITH INFLATABLE TOROID BALLOONS
The present disclosure relates to balloon assemblies designed to permit blood flow through a central perfusion channel, at least when blood flows in a proximally-oriented direction. Such a balloon assembly can include one or more toroid balloons, each defining a cavity that can be independently fed by one or more inflation tubes coupled thereto to inflate the balloon. When the toroid balloons are inflated within a patient lumen or a prosthetic device, such as a prosthetic heart valve, blood is allowed to flow through the perfusion lumen. A balloon assembly can further include a flexible valve configured to regulate blood flow when the balloon assembly is inflated, to allow proximally directed flow through a channel formed in a flexible funnel thereof, and prevent backflow in the opposite direction.
Medical fluid transfer device
A check valve for use in a fluid pathway. The check valve may have a diaphragm and a plurality of supports extending from the diaphragm. The check valve and supports have a line of symmetry, and deformation of the check valve as it moves from a closed position to an opened position can be generally along the line of symmetry.
STEPPED CHECK VALVES
A check valve includes an upper housing defining an inlet of the check valve, a lower housing defining an outlet of the check valve, and a cavity interposed between and defined by the upper and lower housings for fluidly connecting the inlet and the outlet. The check valve further includes a valve member mounted in the cavity to selectively permit fluid flow in a first direction, and prevent fluid backflow in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The valve member includes a valve body and a valve stem portion extending axially through a central axis of the valve body.
MEDICAL COMPOSITION, HEMOSTATIC AGENT, AND DISPENSER
Provided are a medical composition and a hemostatic agent which are excellent in both hemostatic properties and retention properties over time, and a dispenser with which the medical composition or the hemostatic agent can be satisfactorily sprayed.
The medical composition is applied to a surface of an inner lumen of a digestive tract of a living body; the dispenser sprays the medical composition and the hemostatic agent, which are powder bodies containing polyacrylic acid and polyvinylpyrrolidone, and the medical composition onto the surface of the inner lumen of the digestive tract; the dispenser includes a main body and a catheter, in which the main body has an accommodation portion that accommodates air from an outside of the living body and that is configured to eject the air by pressurizing the accommodated air, a container that accommodates the medical composition, and at least two check valves; the catheter has a connecting portion that is connected to the container and through which the medical composition flows; and the dispenser is configured to spray the medical composition onto the surface of the inner lumen of the digestive tract from an end part of the catheter by ejecting the air from the accommodation portion.
