The invention relates to a multifunctional applicator 6 for mobile use having an applicator plug 7, a supply tube 8, a Y-piece 9, fork tubes 10 and a nose piece 11 with prongs 12, wherein the applicator plug 7 comprises a pressure chamber 21 that has a humidifier interface 17 for connection with a high flow therapy device 1, an oxygen supply port 13 having an opening diameter of at least 1 mm, and a therapy air supply port 14 for the supply tube 8, the humidifier interface 17 and the oxygen supply port 13 within the pressure chamber 21 are both in fluid communication with an upper and a lower valve seat 23, 25 that are provided with a seal 22 and a valve body 24 being movable between said valve seats 23, 25 and said valve body 24 being subjected to a force by a helical compression spring 26 from the direction of the oxygen supply port 13 and on the other hand being pushed against the upper valve seat 25 by an actuating element 28 of the high flow therapy device 1 when the applicator plug 7 is locked in place on the high flow therapy device 1.
Complex irrigation/suction flow path in a medical device
A suction/irrigation medical device valve system comprises a first valve plunger configured for insertion into a first valve plunger channel. The first valve plunger has a first latch member disposed at a distal end with a first sealing member and a first valve opening disposed proximally from the first latch member. The system also comprises a second valve plunger configured for insertion into a second valve plunger channel. The second valve plunger includes a second valve opening that is longer than the first valve opening. The system also comprises a valve body having the first and second valve plunger channels. The first and second valve plunger channels are configured to receive the first and second valve plungers, respectively.
FLUID CONNECTOR SYSTEM
Fluid connector systems that can include first and second valve assemblies that are couplable together to form a fluid pathway through the fluid connector system when the first and second valve assemblies are coupled together, and can resist fluid flow through each of the first and second valve assemblies when the first and second valve assemblies are separated from each other, where the first and second valve assemblies can include a compressible element or post positioned within a channel and configured resist fluid flow through the respective first or second valve assembly in a first position and to reduce the resistance to fluid flow through the first or second valve assembly in a second position, and the first and second valve assemblies including a sleeve and one or more arm configured to engage each other to form a snap fitting feature that can resist separation therebetween.
Pressure actuated flow control device for gravity IV sets
A flow control device includes a housing having a primary valve body defining a primary inlet and an outlet, a secondary valve body defining a secondary inlet, and a chamber defined by an inner circumferential surface of the housing and fluidly connecting the primary and secondary inlets with the outlet. The primary and secondary inlets share a common central axis perpendicularly disposed to a central axis of the outlet. A valve member is reciprocally mounted in the chamber to block fluid communication between the secondary inlet and the outlet when fluid pressure into the primary inlet is higher than fluid pressure into the secondary inlet, and) block fluid communication between the primary inlet and the outlet when fluid pressure into the secondary inlet is higher than fluid pressure into the primary inlet.
Priming System for Infusion Devices
Priming systems and infusion assemblies are provided. For example, a priming system comprises a priming conduit having a priming portion and a pressure portion. The priming portion is in fluid communication with a first fluid source, with an inlet and an outlet for ingress and egress of a first fluid from the first fluid source. The pressure portion is in fluid communication with a second fluid source connected by a connector. Disposed within the priming conduit are a biasing member and a valve having an open position and a closed position. The biasing member is in operable communication with the valve to urge the valve into the closed position such that the valve defaults to the closed position. The open position allows the first fluid to flow from the inlet to the outlet and the closed position prevents the first fluid from flowing from the inlet to the outlet.
Complex irrigation/suction flow path in a medical device
A suction/irrigation medical device comprises a valve body having one or more conduits fluidically coupled thereto and a first channel extending through the valve body. The medical device also comprises a first valve plunger disposed along the first channel and configured to move along an axis to open and close the first channel. The first valve plunger has a first opening to permit a fluid to flow through the first channel. The medical device also comprises a second valve plunger disposed along the first channel and along a second channel to couple the second channel into the first channel when the second valve plunger is in a first position. The second valve plunger has a second opening that has at least one dimension that is greater than a corresponding dimension of the first opening of the first valve plunger.
ENTERAL FEEDING PUMP SYSTEMS, VALVE ASSEMBLIES THEREFOR AND FLUID FLOW CONTROL METHODS FOR SAME
A flow selector valve assembly for an enteral feeding pump system (i.e., an enteral feeding pump system including a fluid delivery set with first and second feeding tubes, an enteral feeding pump and a pinching mechanism for regulating the flow of nutrient formula or water out of the first and second feeding tubes), and a twin port adapter for use in the valve assembly. The twin port adapter includes a body configured to receive the first and second feeding tubes therein, and a feeding tube guide rotatably connected to the body and configured to secure the first and second feeding tubes within the body.
Sliding syringe cap for separate filling and delivery
A cap for intake and delivery of a fluid from a syringe is described. The cap includes an outer cap assembly comprising a fluid inlet path and a fluid outlet path and an inner cap assembly configured for insertion into a fluid nozzle of the syringe and to provide selective fluid communication between an interior of a syringe and the fluid inlet path or the fluid outlet path. The outer cap assembly is slidable relative to the inner cap assembly between a first filling position, where the interior of the syringe is in fluid communication with the fluid inlet path, and a second delivery position, where the interior of the syringe is in fluid communication with the fluid outlet path. Syringes including the cap are also described.
