FLUID CONTROL VALVE AND MANIFOLD
A fluid control valve for use in a fluid delivery system for delivering fluid to a patient includes a valve body defining an internal chamber, a first inlet port for receiving a first inlet tube, a second inlet port for receiving a second inlet tube, an outlet port, and a sliding valve member slidably disposed in the internal chamber. The first inlet tube defines a first inlet lumen axially aligned with the internal chamber. The second inlet tube defines a second inlet lumen axially aligned with the internal chamber. The sliding valve member includes a first sealing end and second sealing end. The sliding valve member is positionable in a first operating state, a second operating state, and a third operating state based on a flow differential between the first inlet lumen and the second inlet lumen.
Vacuum pressure regulators for use during blood collection
A regulator for modulation of the flow rate of blood out of a patients blood vessel during blood collection is disclosed. The regulator includes a housing having a housing inlet, a housing outlet, and a wall defining a housing interior. At least a portion of the wall includes a flexible member. A valve is associated with the flexible member and is in communication with the housing interior. The regulator is designed so that upon an application of a differential pressure within the housing interior, the flexible member and/or valve automatically move with respect to either the housing inlet or housing outlet to modulate a flow of blood moving through the housing. A manual over-ride device can be provided to enable a user to over-ride the automatic regulation and manually regulate the flow of blood through the housing.
PURGE DEVICE FOR A SYSTEM FOR ADMINISTERING MEDICAL TREATMENT FLUIDS
This purge device comprises a connection element comprising a plurality of fluid flow channels which each comprise a proximal end, intended to be connected fluidically to a respective fluid flow conduit of a flow tube, and a distal end opposite the respective proximal end, and a plurality of fluid flow openings which are each connected fluidically to a respective fluid flow channel; a closure element comprising a fluid evacuation opening and a closure part, the closure element being mounted movably with respect to the connection element and being configured to occupy a plurality of closure positions, in each of which the closure part closes the distal end of a fluid flow channel and the fluid evacuation opening is connected fluidically to the fluid flow opening associated with the fluid flow channel, of which the distal end is closed by the closure part; and a connection nozzle intended to be connected to a catheter.
CLOSED SYSTEM ELASTOMERIC PUMPING MECHANISM
A medicinal infusion system includes a safety valve for isolating residual medication by providing a single point of fluidic disconnect to encapsulate a residual fluid volume prone to spillage. The safety valve couples a medicinal repository such as an infusion pump to a medicinal supply, typically from a syringe or tubing. The safety valve includes a resilient, deformable, or hinged surface for isolating and sealing the medicinal flow to eliminate and/or isolate any residual volume in tubing and connectors. The isolating surface accommodates an inserted fitting or coupling for allowing the medicinal flow to fill the infusion pump. Upon disconnection, fluids on either side of the safety valve are therefore isolated on the respective fill or source sides, and residual volume prone to spillage is eliminated.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE
One embodiment is directed to a system for injecting, comprising a syringe body defining an interior medicine chamber; a stopper member configured to be inserted into the interior medicine chamber to contain medicine within the medicine chamber; a plunger member configured to be manually manipulated to insert the stopper member relative to the syringe body; and a needle having proximal and distal ends, the proximal end comprising an anchoring geometry configured to be at least partially inserted into the stopper member such that upon retraction of the stopper member, the needle is pulled proximally along with the stopper to be at least partially contained within the interior medicine chamber.
DIALYSIS MACHINE AND CONSTANT FLOW REGULATOR
The invention relates to a dialysis machine, in particular for hemodialysis and/or hemofiltration, having a dialyzate system and having a water inlet via which the dialyzate system can be connected to an external water supply, characterized in that a constant flow regulator is arranged between the water connection and the dialyzate system.
CONNECTOR WITH INTEGRATED NON-RETURN CHECK VALVE FOR EXTENSION TUBING AND UROLOGY COLLECTION SYSTEMS
A connector-with-integrated-check-valve for minimizing microbial migration to catheter-tubing is formed from three parts: a connector-for-catheter-tubing that is hollow and with an internal valve seat; an elastomer gate (sometimes with disc and stem); and a connector-for-extension-tubing that is hollow and with support-surfaces. When one end of the connector-for-catheter-tubing is attached to one end of the connector-for-extension-tubing, a pocket is formed where the seat is disposed opposite and facing the support-surfaces; the gate is disposed within this pocket; such that when the gate contacts this seat due to urine backflow (reflux), the connector-with-integrated-check-valve is closed to such urine backflow; and where a remaining end of the connector-for-catheter-tubing is attachable to catheter-tubing; and where a remaining end of the connector-for-extension-tubing is attachable to the extension-tubing, such that there is a continuous urine flow path from the catheter-tubing, to the connector-with-integrated-check-valve when open, and to the extension-tubing.
Fluid connector
A connector is provided comprising first and second hollow connector bodies, the connector having a first expanded position providing a first fluid flow path through the first hollow connector body, and a second collapsed position providing a second fluid flow path through the first and second hollow connector bodies.
Outlet for a urostomy appliance
An outlet (4) for a pouch (1) in a urostomy appliance is provided. The outlet has a valve with a valve housing (5) and a valve stem (6) that is movable in the longitudinal direction with respect to the valve housing. In a position of the valve stem, the stem can freely rotate with respect to the valve housing, so as to prevent kink and obstructions in a tube connecting the valve with a collecting bag. A urostomy appliance with an outlet is also provided.
