Linearly actuated flow controller for intravenous (IV) fluid administration
Flow controllers for intravenous (IV) tubing are provided. A flow controller may include a first structural member comprising a first outer surface and a first inner surface disposed at an angle to the first outer surface, a second structural member comprising a second outer surface parallel to the first outer surface and a second continuous inner surface parallel to the first inner surface, and a third structural member disposed on one of the first or second structural member and having a friction-reducing surface for at least a portion of a cavity disposed between the first and second structural members. The first structural member is linearly slidable along a length of the IV tubing disposed in the cavity to compress a portion of the IV tubing to control flow of a medical fluid through the IV tubing. Other flow controllers and IV sets that include a flow controller are also provided.
Stable flow regulator assembly
A stable flow regulator assembly includes a body having a tube slot adjacent a perimeter of the body and having an opening at the perimeter to slidingly receive a portion of an intravenous (IV) tube, and a spiral slide groove extending into the body from the tube slot, wherein a width of the spiral slide groove narrows as the spiral slide groove extends further into the body. A tube arm is rotatingly coupled to the body, the tube arm having a slot open to the perimeter of the body and configured to slidingly receive the IV tube when the slot is aligned with the tube slot of the body and to regulate a flow rate through the IV tube based on a compression of the IV tube due to a position of the IV tube within the spiral slide groove. Methods of operating a stable flow regulator assembly are also provided.
Locking slide clamp
A clamp is provided. The clamp includes a flexible uniform body. The flexible uniform body includes an aperture configured to allow a tubing to pass through the flexible uniform body. The aperture is configured to allow unrestricted flow of a fluid within the tubing when the tubing is at a first position of the aperture and restrict the flow of the fluid within the tubing when the tubing is at a second position of the aperture. The flexible uniform body includes an engageable coupling mechanism disposed at a first portion of the flexible uniform body. The coupling mechanism is configured to, when engaged, cover at least a portion of a release point of the aperture such that the tubing is locked in place within a pinch point of the aperture.
STABLE FLOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY
A stable flow regulator assembly includes a spiral slide groove enclosed within a perimeter of a body, the spiral slide groove narrowing as the spiral slide groove extends further into the body, a plurality of teeth disposed on the perimeter of the body, and a tube arm rotatingly coupled to the body, the tube arm having a slot open to the spiral slide groove to slidingly receive an IV tube when the slot is aligned with a portion of the spiral slide groove having equal to or wider than a diameter of the IV tube, wherein the stable flow regulator assembly is configured to regulate a flow rate of fluid flowing through the IV tube based on an amount of compression of the IV tube due to a position of the IV tube within the spiral slide groove. Methods of operating a stable flow regulator assembly are also provided.
Catheter valve for controlling the fluid flow of a medium
A catheter valve for controlling the fluid flow of a medium, in particular a self-closing catheter valve, wherein a main body includes: an inlet and an outlet-, a flexible tube, as a cover, a slider which is movable in the longitudinal direction, and at the inlet of the catheter valve, a stepped barbed part for connecting a supply line; and, in the interior of the main body that comprises two laterally opposite vertical chambers, the catheter valve has two contradirectional downward inclines on the longitudinally movable slider for actuating and guiding two vertically movable magnets, which are arranged on two opposite sides of the valve house and selectively close or open the passage of said valve hose, wherein an adapter can be inserted and fastened at the outlet of the catheter valve and (in addition to the longitudinally movable slider) results in a permanent open position of the catheter valve.
LOCKING SLIDE CLAMP
A locking slide clamp includes a uniform body. The uniform body includes an aperture configured to allow a tubing to pass through the body. The aperture is configured to allow unrestricted flow of a fluid within the tubing when the tubing is at a first position of the aperture and restrict the flow of the fluid within the tubing when the tubing is at a second position of the aperture. The uniform body includes an engageable coupling mechanism, which may include a clasp, disposed at a first portion of the flexible uniform body. The coupling mechanism is configured to, when engaged, cover at least a portion of the release point of the aperture such that the tubing is locked in place within the pinch point of the aperture.
