Gas-fuel-supply regulator
A supporting member supporting a valve body includes a supporting member body having a semispherical bottom portion that makes contact with the top face of the valve body and a securing recess that is provided in the center and at a predetermined axial location to adjoin a through hole provided in the valve body, and a securing member including an engaging portion that has a form of a shaft having a predetermined diameter made of an elastic material and protrudes from a proximal end and a securing projection that swells out from a predetermined axial location of the shaft portion to fit into a securing recess provided in a through hole in the supporting member body.
SYSTEM AND VALVE FOR WATER USE MONITORING AND CONTROL
A valve assembly capable of converting a small leak of a device into a measurable, relatively larger or burst flow event is described. In certain embodiments, the valve assembly includes a compliant chamber and, following pressurization of the device, permits flow when the pressure in the compliant chamber drops to a configured fill pressure and restricts (or prevents) flow when the pressure in the compliant chamber increases to a shut-off pressure. The disclosed valve assemblies may be incorporated into a leak detection assembly capable of transmitting usage and/or alarm data to a central service.
STABILIZER CARTRIDGE FOR A FLUID REGULATOR
A stabilizer cartridge for enhancing stability of a fluid regulator is provided. The stabilizer cartridge includes a body, a first disk, and a second disk. The body is adapted to be disposed around a valve stem of the fluid regulator. The first disk is coupled to the body and defines one or more flow paths for facilitating pressure relief. The second disk is movably coupled to the body and is movable relative to the first disk responsive to fluid flow through the one or more flow paths of the first disk.
Method and apparatus for damping an actuator on a fluid regulator
A damped actuator for a fluid regulator includes a diaphragm disposed in a housing, and a damper arranged to stabilize movement of the diaphragm in response to changes in pressure inside the housing. The damper includes a ball check valve arranged to allow air to exhaust out of the housing when above a preselected pressure. The damper may include interchangeable components so as to be modifiable to have different set point pressures to achieve different backpressures inside the housing.
FIXED LEVER AND PIN ASSEMBLY FOR STABILIZING GAS FLOW AND PRESSURE REGULATION OF A FLUID REGULATOR
A fixed lever and pin assembly may include a lever body having a front end, a back end, and an arm connecting the front end and the back end. The front end of the lever body may be operatively coupled to a control element of a regulator. The arm may be adapted to operatively couple to an actuator of a regulator. A pin may be fixed to the front end of the lever body and may be disposed through the front end in a direction perpendicular to first and second parallel sides of the lever body. The fixed lever and pin assembly may be an integrated piece and the pin may prevent the lever body from moving independently from the pin.
LEVER ASSEMBLY WITH A DAMPER FOR A FLUID REGULATOR
A lever assembly for a flow regulator includes a damper to reduce unwanted movement of the lever in an opening and closing direction. The damper includes one or more resilient spring members that squeeze the lever with an amount of force sufficient to reduce unwanted pivoting of the lever without preventing the lever from pivoting in response to control movements of an actuator adapted to actuate the lever.
Dynamic pressure registration device for internally registered actuators and overpressure protection devices
A fluid regulating device includes a regulator valve having an inlet, an outlet, and a valve port disposed between the inlet and the outlet. An actuator is coupled to the regulator valve and includes a valve disc that displaces between a closed position and an open position. The device also includes an overpressure protection device adapted to stop flow from the inlet to the outlet when pressure in a control cavity reaches a predetermined level. The overpressure protection device includes a sensing tube having a first end in fluid communication with the control cavity and a second end in fluid communication with the outlet. The sensing tube has a first portion extending parallel to the flow axis. One or more apertures are disposed in the sensing tube adjacent to the second end, and each of the apertures has a centerline that is perpendicular to the flow axis.
Precision gas regulator adjustment mechanism utilizing stepper motor control
A precision gas regulator adjustment mechanism accurately controls the position of a plunger within a gas regulator. The mechanism includes a cylindrical adjust screw with external threads for securing it into a base atop the regulator's plunger, along with internal threads. A drive screw, threaded into the internal threads of the adjust screw, engages with the plunger upon insertion. A stepper motor paddle inserted into the drive screw's top slot enables rotation when the stepper motor is activated, thereby adjusting the drive screw's position within the adjust screw. Radial and vertical protrusions on the drive screw and adjust screw, respectively, limit rotation, ensuring precise adjustment. The mechanism offers a reliable and controlled means to manipulate gas flow regulation in various industrial applications.
