A medical endoscope is an instrument having an elongate, tubular shaft. The instrument is commonly provided with a flushing device. The flushing liquid can be guided through corresponding separate liquid channels. In order to be able to control the flow of the liquid, the liquid channels have a stopcock. The stopcocks here are of complex construction, and for this reason both the production thereof and the cleaning thereof are complicated. The invention includes a stopcock and also a housing and a method for producing the housing, by way of which the production and the cleaning of the housing are simplified. This is achieved in that a housing and at least one spring element for form-fitting fixing of a plug in a position in the interior space of the housing are manufactured integrally from a single part, that is to say in one part.

Stopcock

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention there is provided a stopcock including a housing element defining at least first, second and third ports, a handle element which is selectably positionable relative to the housing element, at least one fluid passageway communicating between at least two of the at least first, second and third ports, the at least one fluid passageway being selectably defined by at least one of the housing element and the handle element, the at least one fluid passageway being configured for enabling flushing an internal volume of at least one of the first, second and third ports by a fluid flow which does not flow entirely through the port whose internal volume is being flushed.

Rotary valve with an isolating distribution body

A rotary valve is provided including a housing with an inner chamber having a first inlet, a first outlet, a second inlet, and a second outlet. A valve body is rotatably positioned in the housing. The valve body includes at least one isolated fluid pathway that, depending upon a rotational position of the valve body, provides at least one of a direct connection of one or more of the inlets to one or more of the outlets, or permits flow from at least an other one of the inlets or the outlets that are not in the direct connection created by the at least one isolated fluid pathway into or from the inner chamber. At least one actuator controls the position of the valve body.

ROTARY FILLING MACHINE

Gas flow control valves comprising a valve housing including a cylindrical interior passage, and a housing opening extending from the interior passage through the housing. The gas flow control valve further comprises a cylindrical rotary valve element including a sidewall, and a rotary valve element opening extending through the sidewall. The valve element is rotatably received within the interior passage of the valve housing, such that the housing opening may be selectively aligned with the rotary valve element opening, and an area of overlap of the housing opening and the valve element opening may be varied by rotating the valve element within the interior passage of the valve housing.

Diverter valve assembly

A diverter valve assembly includes a diverter valve. The diverter valve includes a housing having an inlet, multiple destination outlets, and a subsequent diverter valve outlet. The diverter valve also includes a rotary element disposed within the housing. The rotary element has an inlet, one or more target destination outlets, and a subsequent diverter valve outlet. Furthermore, the inlet of the rotary element is fluidly coupled to the inlet of the housing, the subsequent diverter valve outlet of the rotary element is fluidly coupled to the subsequent diverter valve outlet of the housing, and the rotary element is configured to rotate to selectively fluidly couple the one or more target destination outlets of the rotary element to one or more respective destination outlets of the housing.

CONTROL DEVICE FOR A FLUID

A control device for a fluid is described, having a housing, a first opening, a second opening, a channel running from the first to the second opening and a movable control element, which is pivotable between a closed position and an open position. According to this disclosure, it is provided that the first opening forms an assembly opening, through which the control element can be installed in the housing.

Biochemical analysis apparatus and rotary valve

An analysis apparatus for performing biochemical analysis of a sample using nanopores comprises: a sensor device that that supports plural nanopores, reservoirs holding material for performing the analysis; a fluidics system; and plural containers for receiving respective samples, all arranged in a cartridge that is removably attachable to an electronics unit arranged to generate drive signals to perform signal processing circuit to generate output data representing the results of the analysis. The fluidics system supplies samples selectively from the containers to the sensor device using a rotary valve. In one valve, a stator defines a plurality of first ports arranged around the rotational axis and a collection chamber extending in around the axis of rotation in communication with a second port. A rotor provides a passage extending between the collection chamber and a position in communication with any one of the plurality of first ports. In another valve a stator defining a plurality of first ports in an annular surface facing the rotational axis, and a rotor is mounted inside a liner arranged between the annular surface of the stator and a facing annular surface of the rotor. The liner has a greater compliance than the rotor and stator to facilitate sealing.
