A medical stopcock device comprises a housing configured to allow a flow of liquid therethrough, and a cock configured to fit in the housing and switch flow paths of the liquid flowing through the housing. The housing comprises a cylindrical body section formed with a through-hole, an upstream port section provided on an outer periphery of the body section, a downstream port section provided on the outer periphery of the body section and disposed on a side of the body section that is opposite to the upstream port section, and a side tube port section provided between the upstream port section and the downstream port section on the outer periphery of the body section and including a first communication hole, and a second communication hole having an opening area smaller than an opening area of the first communication hole. The cock comprises a cylindrical section configured to be inserted in the through-hole of the body section in a slidable manner, and including a first flow path groove and a second flow path groove, and a handle section configured to rotate the cylindrical section. When the cock is at a reference position, the upstream port section, the side tube port section, and the downstream port section communicate with each other in a manner such that the first flow path groove communicates with the upstream port section and the first communication hole in the side tube port section, and the second flow path groove communicates with the second communication hole in the side tube port section and the downstream port section.

Flow through isolation valve for high pressure fluids

A flow through isolation valve having a stationary member; a movable member, with a surface of the stationary member interfacing with a surface of the movable member; and at least one pin isolation valve. The pin isolation valve has a flow through internal conduit and is movable so that the internal conduit can fluidically communicate with at least one blank opening in the movable member and with a flow through internal conduit in the movable member. Movement is by rotation, linear or curvilinear translation. At least one pin isolation valve is fluidically coupled typically to a sample loop of a face seal valve, or to a pump supplying high pressure liquid to or to a column discharging liquid from a face seal valve of a high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) system or directly to the face seal valve.

Rotary valve

A rotary valve that includes a rotor and a casing which rotatably accommodates the rotor. The casing includes an inflow side opening through which a fluid flows in from the outside to the rotor accommodating space and two outflow side openings through which the fluid flows out from the rotor accommodating space to the outside, at a position opposite to an outer circumferential surface of the rotor. The rotor is formed in a cylindrical shape having an internal space. An end surface of the rotor is provided with an end surface side opening which communicates with the internal space. The outer circumferential surface of the rotor is provided with a rotor outer circumferential opening and a rotor outer circumferential blocking surface which are configured to open and close the outflow side openings of the casing.

Method and apparatus for sample injection in liquid chromatography

The present invention provides a method and apparatus for substantially eliminating destructive transients of pressure or flow rate which can degrade the efficiency and useful lifetime of chromatography columns. The present invention enables a substantially constant flow of mobile phase liquid to be maintained through the chromatography system by eliminating the flow blockage interval associated with the actuation of sample injection valves. The present invention further provides a method to reduce the pressure and flow rate transients associated with pressurization of the sample loop contents when the sample loop is introduced to chromatography system delivery pressure.

The first oil return portion has a first trench, the second oil return portion has a second trench formed, and the oil inflow portion has a peripheral groove. Between the oil inflow portion and the first oil return portion is defined a first work portion, and between the oil inflow portion and the second oil return portion is defined a second work portion. Furthermore, the valve core rotates to at least three angles relative to the valve body.

A rotary valve that includes a rotor, and a casing including a rotor accommodating space that accommodates the rotor. A rotor opening which is a passage of cooling water is provided in the rotor. Openings which communicate with the rotor opening are provided at positions of an inner circumferential surface of the rotor accommodating space which oppose an outer circumferential surface of the rotor. Seal members are provided to extend from the openings toward the rotor. A tip end abutting portion of the seal member which abuts on the rotor includes an inwardly curved portion. The inwardly curved portion functions as a seal and also functions as a spring. The inwardly curved portion is narrowed inwardly toward a tip end side, and is curved to be folded back.
