A corrugated board plant includes a corrugated board production assembly for producing a double-face laminated web of corrugated board, and at least one cutting assembly arranged downstream of the corrugated board production assembly, which has a cross-cutting device for producing sheets from the double-face web of corrugated board, and is capable of producing at least one identification sheet from the double-face laminated web of corrugated board, which is different from the sheets. The corrugated board plant further has a stack depositing area arranged downstream of the cutting assembly to stack the sheets and the at least one identification sheet in such a way as to form a stack, which is identifiable by means of the at least one identification sheet, in particular for further processing.
Nanopatterned medical device with enhanced cellular interaction
A medical device for delivering a drug compound through a stratum corneum includes a support having an aperture, an array of microneedles extending outwardly from the support, a plurality of nanostructures associated with each microneedle, and a reservoir wherein the drug compound is retained. At least one microneedle contains a shaft extending from the support. The shaft includes a tip configured to penetrate the stratum corneum. The shaft defines a channel extending from the support to the tip. The channel is in at least partial alignment with the aperture. At least some of the microneedles of the array of microneedles each have a cross-sectional dimension of from about 1 micrometer to about 1 millimeter. At least some of the nanostructures have a cross-sectional dimension less than about 500 nanometers and greater than about 5 nanometers and an aspect ratio of from about 0.2 to about 5.
Gel nail sticker and manufacturing method therefor
Provided is a gel nail sticker including: a lower laminated part which is a part directly attached to a nail or a toenail, and has a color or a pattern, and is formed of a flexible material to correspond to a curved surface of the nail or the toenail; and an upper laminated part which is a transparent coated layer positioned on the lower laminated part and providing glossiness to a color or a pattern of the lower laminated part, and is in a flexible semi-solid state to correspond to the curved surface of the nail or the toenail before being attached to the nail or the toenail, and is cured to a solid state while maintaining a form attached to the nail or the toenail when an ultraviolet ray is irradiated to the upper laminated part after the upper laminated part is attached to the nail or the toenail.
Using a frame to assemble a fabric article
Systems and methods facilitate automated manufacture of fabric articles. In an example operation, a first fabric portion is mounted in a first frame, and a second fabric portion is mounted in a second frame. The first and second frames with the corresponding fabric portions are transported to a sequence of stations at which one or more operations are performed on the first and/or second fabric portion. The operations include applying an adhesive to one of the fabric portions, and then joining the first and second fabric portions by bringing the first and second frames together. The operations include cutting the joined first and second fabric portions to create corresponding joined first and second components of a fabric article.
Flexible packaging structure with a built-in opening and reclose feature
A flexible packaging laminate is formed to have a built-in opening and reclose feature by forming the laminate as a two-part structure having an outer structure joined in face-to-face relation with an inner structure. Score lines are formed in both structures to enable an opening to be formed through the laminate by lifting an opening portion (e.g., a flap or the like) of the two structures out of the plane of the laminate. The score line through the outer structure defines a larger opening than the score line through the inner structure, such that a marginal region of the outer structure extends beyond the edge of the opening portion of the inner structure. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used to re-adhere the marginal region to an underlying surface of the inner structure adjacent the opening through the laminate.
Thermal cycler apparatus and related methods
An apparatus for thermal cycling can transfer heat uniformly and efficiently. The apparatus can be used in a method that reduces condensation on sample wells. The apparatus can also be manufactured to provide uniform configurations. For example, a sample illustratively for polymerase chain reaction (PCR), in each sample well and the components of the embodiment of the thermal cycler apparatus shown at including a well block, a base plate, a layer of adhesive, a peltier device, another layer of adhesive and a heat sink.
Non-permeable substrate carrier for electroplating
One embodiment relates to a substrate carrier for use in electroplating a plurality of substrates. The substrate carrier comprises a non-conductive carrier body on which the substrates are to be held. Electrically-conductive lines are embedded within the carrier body, and a plurality of contact clips are coupled to the electrically-conductive lines embedded within the carrier body. The contact clips hold the substrates in place and electrically couple the substrates to the electrically-conductive lines. The non-conductive carrier body is continuous so as to be impermeable to flow of electroplating solution through the non-conductive carrier body. A label laminate comprising a filmic or a paper substrate, said substrate having a first surface and a second surface; a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) layer, said PSA layer being tacky and having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface of the PSA being in contact with the second surface of the substrate; and a detack layer on top of the second surface of the PSA layer, said detack layer having a melting point above about 50 C, wherein the detack layer has a surface coverage of less than 100% of the second surface of the PSA layer.
FLEXIBLE PACKAGING STRUCTURE WITH A BUILT-IN OPENING AND RECLOSE FEATURE
A flexible packaging laminate is formed to have a built-in opening and reclose feature by forming the laminate as a two-part structure having an outer structure joined in face-to-face relation with an inner structure. Score lines are formed in both structures to enable an opening to be formed through the laminate by lifting an opening portion (e.g., a flap or the like) of the two structures out of the plane of the laminate. The score line through the outer structure defines a larger opening than the score line through the inner structure, such that a marginal region of the outer structure extends beyond the edge of the opening portion of the inner structure. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used to re-adhere the marginal region to an underlying surface of the inner structure adjacent the opening through the laminate.
System and method for laying up a composite laminate having integrally laminated filler elements
A manufacturing system for laying up a stringer laminate includes a lamination surface and a plurality of lamination heads including a frame filler outer ply lamination head for laying up (e.g., laminating) frame filler bottom ply at a plurality of frame filler locations. Also included is at least one frame filler inner ply lamination head for laying up one or more frame filler inner plies over a protruding portion of the frame filler bottom ply at each frame filler location. Further included is at least one stringer body lamination head laying up one or more stringer body plies defining a stringer body portion extending along the lamination surface. A frame filler outer ply lamination head is configured to lay up a frame filler top ply at each frame filler location such that the frame filler inner plies are captured between a frame filler bottom ply and a frame filler top ply.
