POLY-BASED BURR SUPPRESSOR
A burr-suppressing copper foil is described. In an embodiment, the burr-supressing copper foil includes a poly-based film having an adhesive on a first side and an adhesive on a second side. A copper foil contacts the adhesive at the first side of the poly-based film to removably couple the poly-based film to the copper foil. A metallic burr suppressor contacts the adhesive on the second side to removably couple the poly-based film to the metallic burr suppressor.
In-line production of linerless labels
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of labeling a plurality of products includes coating a pressure sensitive adhesive to a roll of face stock, the roll of face stock configured to be converted to a plurality of individual labels aligned in a single lane; singulating an individual label from the roll of face stock; and applying the individual label to a product of the plurality of products, wherein the coating, singulating and applying are conducted sequentially in a single continuous operation with a single continuous web of material.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN ACTIVATED COMPOSITE WEB AND AN ACTIVATED COMPOSITE WEB FOR ABSORPTIVE DEVICES
A method of manufacturing an activated composite web includes laminating a film layer to a nonwoven web to form a composite web, forming a plurality of apertured protuberances in the film layer, and passing the composite web through intermeshing elements to form an activated composite web. The intermeshing elements form a plurality of first lanes, with first widths, substantially unaffected by activation, and a plurality of second lanes, with second widths. The second widths are less than the first widths. Portions of the plurality of apertured protuberances define first apertures in the first lanes and second apertures in the second lanes. The cross-sections of the second apertures are larger than the first apertures. The first apertures have their major axes substantially aligned in the first direction while the second apertures have their major axis substantially aligned in the second direction. An activated composite web also is provided.
LABEL SHEET ASSEMBLY WITH IMPROVED PRINTER FEEDING
A label sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet assembly may include a facestock layer and a liner sheet. The facestock layer may include an adhesive layer along at least a portion of a first side and include a label surface along at least a portion of the second side opposite the adhesive layer. The facestock layer may include at least one cut line that defines at least one label within the facestock layer while the remaining portions of the facestock layer may be a matrix portion. The matrix portion may include at least one discontinuous cut line spaced from the cut line that defines at least one label wherein the discontinuous cut line may create a zone of decreased bending stiffness along the label sheet assembly.
Poly-based burr suppressor

A copper foil contacts the adhesive at the first side of the poly-based film to removably couple the poly-based film to the copper foil. A metallic burr suppressor contacts the adhesive on the second side to removably couple the poly-based film to the metallic burr suppressor.
Methods for manufacturing shield structures for use in communication cables
Methods for forming continuous shields for use in a cable are provided. A first layer of longitudinally extending dielectric material may be provided, and a second layer of longitudinally extending electrically conductive material may be formed on the first layer. At a plurality of spaced locations along a longitudinal direction, respective gaps may be formed through both the first layer and the second layer, and each gap may span partially across a width of the second layer. Additionally, at each of the plurality of spaced locations, the gaps may result in the formation of one or more fusible elements of the electrically conductive material spanning between an adjacent set of longitudinally spaced segments of the electrically conductive material. Each fusible element may provide electrical continuity between the adjacent set of longitudinally spaced segment and may further have a minimum fusing current between 0.001 amperes and 0.500 amperes.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORATING PAINT-ROLLER COVER FABRIC
In an embodiment, a paint roller manufacturing system and method uses a fabric-coating applicator to apply a fabric adhesive onto a portion of a perforated paint roller cover fabric material having a plurality of perforations through which adhesive may flow, and into the plurality of perforations and into interstitial spaces of the fabric material, to yield a length of coated fabric. An inner strip and an outer strip are wound about a mandrel in offset relation. A strip-coating applicator is used to apply a strip adhesive to the outer strip as it is wound about the mandrel. Simultaneously with the step of applying the strip adhesive to the outer strip, a portion of the coated paint roller fabric material is received at the outer strip and the length of coated fabric is wound about at least the outer strip to form a paint roller tube.

Method of Applying Labels on Store Shelves in a Retail Environment
A method of applying labels to a store shelf in a retail environment. The method includes applying labels with adhesive strips applied to a bottom surface of each label and a top laminate layer with a release coating applied to the top surface of each label. The labels in the pad are sequenced according to a store's planogram.
