A reinforced stretch film obtained by a method of producing a reinforced stretch film comprising the steps of: providing an elongated base sheet of plastic stretch film having a longitudinal axis, forming a plurality of cord-like, elongated reinforcement members and a plurality of plastic film strip overlays, positioning the plurality of elongated reinforcement members on the elongated base sheet, positioning a single plastic film strip overlay over each of the elongated reinforcement members, folding each edge of the elongated base sheet inward toward a center of the elongated base sheet to further strengthen and reinforce each edge and attaching the plastic film strip overlays and the folded edges to the cord-like, elongated reinforcement members and to the elongated base sheet to fixedly sandwich the cord-like, elongated reinforcement members between the elongated base sheet and the narrow plastic film strip overlays.

A composite security device is provided that is made up of a first polymer film that constitutes or embodies a security feature in the form of at least one high value material, and a second polymer film that constitutes, embodies, or is coated with one or more additional security features. The first polymer film is positioned on and adhered to a surface of the second polymer film, which has a width or diameter greater than the width or diameter of the first polymer film By way of the present invention, the high value material is applied to only a part of the security device, leaving remaining parts of the device available for one or more additional materials that do not impact upon the effect of the high value material.

The method can comprise the steps of providing a bamboo culm; separating a slice or sheet from the bamboo culm such that the slice or sheet has a longitudinal axis along a fiber direction of the bamboo culm; at least partially detaching individual fiber bundles of the slice or sheet from each other along the longitudinal axis of the slice or sheet; applying a glue to the slice or sheet; and curing the glued slice or sheet.
Method for the production of a sealing tape roll
A method for the production of sealing tape rolls of flexible, compressed foam with at least one barrier layer extending in a radial direction thereof, the barrier layer arranged axially between two layers of the foam, comprises the following steps: providing a foam web of flexible foam; introducing at least one cut into the foam web in a longitudinal direction thereof to form parallel foam strips; introducing film strips, adhesive tape strips, and/or an adhesive liquid medium into the intermediate spaces between each pair of adjacent foam strips produced by the cuts; bonding all of the foam strips together to produce a foam-barrier layer web; winding up the foam-barrier layer web into an intermediate roll; and cutting the intermediate roll at one or more points in an axial direction thereof to produce a plurality of sealing tape rolls, which are less wide than the intermediate roll.

Methods for forming discontinuous shields or shield structures for use in a cable are provided. A layer of dielectric material may be provided that extends in a longitudinal direction and has a first width across a width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Additionally, a layer of electrically conductive material may be formed on the dielectric material, and the layer of electrically conductive material may extend in the longitudinal direction and may have a second width across the width direction that is less than the first width. Respective gaps may be formed through both the electrically conductive material at a plurality of locations along the longitudinal direction, and each gap may span across the width direction by a distance greater than the second width but less than the first width.
System for forming floor underlayment
A process for making a fibrous panel member and a flooring structure is disclosed. The flooring structure has a subfloor, a surface layer, and an insulative pad disposed between the subfloor and the surface layer. The insulative pad has an MDI binder and reinforcement fibers distributed uniformly and randomly within a first plane. The process includes mixing a porous fiber material with a MDI adhesive. The fiber batt is compressed between a pair of porous belts. Steam and heat are applied to the compressed batt to form a bound flexible batting material.

An absorbent article having a front waist region, a back waist region, and a crotch region extending between and interconnecting the front and back waist regions. The article comprises an outer cover, a body-side liner, an absorbent assembly between the outer cover and the body-side liner, and leg and flap elastic composites including a containment flap portion and a gasket portion. Each of the composites are attached to the liner such that one of the composites is disposed adjacent one side edge of the liner and the other composite is disposed adjacent the other side edge of the liner, each of the composites extend longitudinally from the front waist region to the back waist region, and each of the composites have a deadened portion in the front waist region or the back waist region. The article further includes a waist elastic member extending longitudinally between the deadened portions.
Leg and flap elastic composite for an absorbent article and method of manufacturing same
A method of manufacturing a liner/composite web for use in an absorbent article includes joining a leg elastic member to a web moving in a machine direction and joining a flap elastic member to the web. The flap elastic member is spaced from the leg elastic member. The web is folded to form a leg and flap elastics composite including an outer side edge. The web is joined to a substrate to form the liner/composite web. The liner/composite web is joined to a web of material such that the outer side edge of the leg and flap elastics composite is coterminous with one of a pair of laterally opposing side edges of the web of material.
