Chuck assembly for a rotary power tool
A chuck assembly, for use with a rotary power tool, includes a chuck body rotatable about an axis, a plurality of jaws supported by the chuck body for relative movement therewith between a retracted position for permitting insertion of a tool bit within the chuck body and an extended position for clamping the tool bit, a plurality of clamping nuts surrounding the chuck body and having interior threads engageable with corresponding threads on the respective jaws, a tightening sleeve surrounding and threadably engaged with the chuck body for relative rotation therewith, and a wedge defined on the tightening sleeve for selective engagement with the clamping nuts for inwardly displacing the clamping nuts, causing the respective threads on the clamping nuts and jaws to engage, in response to rotation of the tightening sleeve relative to the chuck body in a tightening direction.
Collet adapter
A collet adaptor 20 including a work piece clamp mechanism 29. The collet adaptor 20 is rotatable about a first axis A and the work piece clamp mechanism 29 is mounted within the collet adaptor 20 for rotation with the collect adaptor 20. The clamp mechanism 29 is also mounted for movement laterally to the first axis A during rotation of the collet adaptor 29. The clamp mechanism 29 can also be mounted within the collect adaptor 20 for rotational movement lateral to the first axis A during rotation of the collect adaptor 20.
Chuck device
A chuck device in which a rotary sleeve provided to a main body is rotated, and by rotation of an annular rotary body which rotates together with the rotary sleeve, jaws screwed together with the rotary body are expanded, contracted, advanced, and retracted, and a tool is gripped by the jaws; the chuck device comprising a retaining engaging body for engaging with the rotary body and preventing the rotary sleeve from coming out of the rotary body; wherein the retaining engaging body is provided to be fixed to a proximal end side of the rotary sleeve; a rotation transmission part for directly or indirectly transmitting the rotation of the rotary sleeve to the rotary body is provided to the retaining engaging body; and the rotation of the rotary sleeve is transmitted to the rotary body via the retaining engaging body, and the rotary body rotates together with the rotary sleeve.
Driver drill
A driver-drill (1) includes a motor (16), a spindle (32), which is rotationally driven using rotational energy output by the motor (16), and a chuck (30), which rotates integrally with the spindle (32). The chuck (30) includes: a chuck body (31); a chuck sleeve (80), which is externally mounted on the chuck body (31); and two or more chuck jaws (67), which are provided in the chuck body (31) and which expand and contract relative to the rotational axis of the spindle (32) in response to manual rotation of the chuck sleeve (80). The spindle (32) may be integrally formed (in one piece) with the chuck body (31). In addition or in the alternative, the chuck body (31) may be rotatably supported by a bearing (42) disposed in a tube-shaped housing (6).
Adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem
The adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem is for use in rotating a valve stem of a valve. The adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem incorporates a handle structure and a capture structure. The capture structure attaches to the handle structure. The capture structure forms the working element of the tool formed by the adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem. The handle structure forms the handle of the tool formed by the adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem. The capture structure is a chuck that captures the valve stem. The handle structure rotates the capture structure to: a) tighten and loosen the capture structure to the valve stem; and, b) rotate the valve stem between a closed position and an open position.
