Two point lock for bi-fold windows and doors

A two point lock for securing bi-folding windows and doors in which upper and lower shoot bolt arms move in opposite directions from a central lock body upon rotation of a handle. When the arms are in their mutually extended positions, a sliding detent locking member engages the upper shoot bolt arm to secure the window or door in the closed position. The central lock body includes a rotating driver for the shoot bolt arms that is supported at both ends and is maintained in two different positions by interaction with the curved contact faces of a set of biasing pads.

The invention relates to a door lock having an oblique bolt. In the invention, stress of the parts of the oblique bolt susceptible to wear is reduced, wherein they remain functional longer. The oblique bolt consists of slanted surfaces on both sides such that the tip part is narrower at its tip than in the back part of the tip part. The tip part has recesses in its lower part and upper part, which extend from the tip to the back part. Both recesses are open at the end of the tip of the tip part and on the other slanted surface such that the recess of the upper part is open on the opposite slanted surface than the recess of the lower part. Both recesses have a turning piece.

Rim exit device with split latch

An exit device employs a pair of projectable latches which are retractable by depressing a push pad. A latch actuator is mounted between the latches and is actuatable to retract the latches. In one embodiment, the actuator comprises a pair of solenoids controlled from a remote location. In another embodiment, the actuator comprises a motor which is activatable from a remote location for unlatching the door. In addition an exterior operator is mountable and connectable to the latch actuator to provide controlled access from the exterior of the door.

Vehicle locking apparatus for a vehicle using a coupling device

A vehicle locking apparatus for a vehicle using a coupling device for the separable connection of a vehicle door to a vehicle structure part, includes a first coupling element with two locking wedges mounted so as to be displaceable parallel to one another and having wedge faces. At least one of the locking wedges is formed with a locking nose on the wedge-side end face, and a second coupling element interacts with the first coupling element. The second coupling has two retaining jaws receiving the first coupling element therebetween with wedge grooves having wedge faces. The locking wedges are pushed via a driving device into the wedge grooves by separation of the wedge faces apart from one other and the locking nose is thereby received in a locking opening arranged in a wedge groove of a retaining jaw.

A locking system provides multiple lockable latching mechanisms that are collectively operable and lockable from a central actuation mechanism. Each latching mechanism can be positioned and actuated independent of the positioning of others of the latching mechanisms. In particular, the latching mechanisms need not be aligned with one another. The system uses flexible connectors between the central actuation mechanism and the respective latching mechanisms. The flexible connectors can have different respective lengths.

Multi-point lock having a shootbolt with a flat driverail mounted in a narrow groove

A multi-point lock having an easy to install modular drive mechanism for shootbolts located at the top and bottom edges of a door in which the multi-point locking system is installed that requires only relatively simple door preparation. The shootbolt operating mechanism is installed into a narrow groove cut into a lateral edge of a door which may be cut using relatively simple tools in relatively quick fashion. The shootbolt actuating mechanisms are flat driverails that are made of flat barstock that fit slidably entirely within the narrow groove defined in the lateral edge of the door above and below the mortise pocket.

Multi-point mortise lock mechanism for swinging door

A multipoint mortise lock mechanism for a swinging door, including a central cassette assembly operably coupled to an upper remote locking point assembly and a lower remote locking point assembly by a remote locking linkage. The central cassette assembly includes a housing, a deadbolt mechanism, a latchbolt mechanism, a remote locking point mechanism and an anti-slam mechanism. The anti-slam mechanism includes an anti-slam plunger that when in an extended position engages the remote locking linkage via a boss and a slot and thereby inhibits movement of the remote locking linkage whereby deployment of the remote locking point assemblies is prevented. The deadbolt mechanism includes a deadbolt extendible from the central cassette that is independently operable from the remote locking point mechanism. The deadbolt mechanism further includes an anti-back drive mechanism.
