A coated metallic substrate is provided, including, at least; one layer of oxides, such layer being directly topped by an intermediate coating layer comprising Fe, Ni, Cr and Ti wherein the amount of Ti is above or equal to 5 wt. % and wherein the following equation is satisfied: 8 wt. %<Cr+Ti<40 wt. %, the balance being Fe and Ni, such intermediate coating layer being directly topped by a coating layer being an anticorrosion metallic coating.
Multi-layer substrate
Substrate provided with a plurality of layers, at least one of which includes metal oxides and is topped directly by a metal coating layer that contains at least 8% by weight nickel and at least 10% by weight chromium, the remainder being iron, additional elements and the impurities resulting from the fabrication process, wherein this metal coating layer is topped directly by an anticorrosion coating layer. A corresponding fabrication method is also provided.
Article having a dispersion of ultrafine titanium boride particles in a titanium-base matrix
An article includes a microscale composite material having a matrix with titanium boride particles configured to form an insert in a metallic mass being comprised of material other than a consolidated titanium-based metallic composition having titanium particles.
SLIDING MEMBER AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
A problem is to provide a sliding member capable of improving friction characteristics under an environment of a lubricant containing Mo, and a production method therefor. A solution is a sliding member 10, wherein a sliding portion 11 is formed of a metallic material, and the sliding member 10 has, at a surface layer part of the sliding portion 11, a Ti-containing thermally sprayed coating 12 formed by thermally spraying, as a thermal spraying material, a metallic material containing Ti as a composition. The sliding member 10 slides under the environment of the lubricant containing Mo as an additive, in which active Ti exposed on a surface by sliding accelerates decomposition reaction of the additive contained in the lubricant to form a molybdenum disulfide-containing low-friction coating having low friction on the surface of the sliding portion 11.
Pathogen eliminating article
An article including a first layer of a shielding material comprising a first surface and an opposite second surface. The article also includes an core material coupled to the first surface, wherein the core material is configured to eliminate pathogens located on the second surface.
Slide member, bicycle component using slide member, and fishing tackle component using slide member
A slide member is provided with a base material and a slide layer. The slide layer is disposed on at least a portion of the base material. The slide layer contains a solid lubricant and a plurality of hard particles, the hard particles being harder than the solid lubricant.
ZINC-BASED PLATED STEEL MATERIAL HAVING EXCELLENT SEALER ADHESION AND COMPOSITION FOR FORMING POST-TREATMENT FILM
Provided are a zinc-base plated steel material comprising a base steel and a zinc-based plated layer and a post-treatment film, which are sequentially formed on the base steel. The post-treatment film comprises an oxide or oxide salt of at least one group A element selected from B, Al, V, and Fe and an organic compound, wherein the content of oxygen atoms in the post-treatment film is 50 atom % or more, and wherein when the mole number of oxygen atoms forming a covalent bond with hydrogen in the post-treatment film is a and the mole number of oxygen atoms not forming the covalent bond with hydrogen is b, a/b is 0.3 or greater; and a composition for forming the post-treatment film.
