Web and method for making fluid filled units
An elongate flattened thermoplastic tube has an inflation edge and an opposite edge. The tube includes spaced transverse seals that define sides of pouches. The tube includes lines of weakness that allow adjacent dunnage units to be separated. A frangible line of connection is disposed in one two superposed layers of the tube proximate to the inflation edge. This frangible connection may be broken to permit inflation of the inflatable pouches.
Process for preventing organoleptic degradation in flexibly-packaged sensitive foods and packaged products thereof
This invention relates to a process for reducing or eliminating organoleptic degradation in organoleptically sensitive foods packaged in flexible packaging, and packaged products thereof. This invention also relates to organoleptic flexible packaging made from polymeric films comprising oxidation-stable and non-migratory polysiloxane as slip additive. The oxidative-stability and non-migratory nature of the polysiloxane slip additive provides an organoleptic flexible packaging that is non-interactive with and inert to the organoleptically sensitive food packaged within, specifically: (1) coffee; (2) beer; (3) water; and (4) wine.
Joining structure
A joining structure includes a first member, a second member of a material different from that of the first member, and a separation mechanism provided between the first member and the second member and that separates the first member and the second member from each other, wherein a resin is filled into the space between the edge of at least one member among the first member and the second member, and the other member.
Silicone Free Drug Delivery Devices
A pre-filled syringe having containing therein at least one therapeutic is provided. The syringe contains a silicone free barrel and an elastomeric syringe stopper that is covered with an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene barrier layer. The presence of a barrier layer that is at least partially porous on the outside of the syringe stopper improves the seal between the stopper and syringe barrel and minimizes the sliding force. In some embodiments, the barrel is formed of a glass material such as a borosilicate glass, that is free of silicone or other lubricants.
Fluoropolymer Barrier Materials For Containers
A container having a barrier layer is provided. The container may be of thermoplastic and the barrier may inhibit materials from leaching from the thermoplastic material or from extraction of compounds from medicants by the thermoplastic. A process is also described that allows for molding thin barrier layers as container lines and for forming thermoplastic containers with barrier liners.
BATTERY PACKAGING MATERIAL, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, BATTERY, AND POLYESTER FILM
A battery packaging material including a laminate that is provided with a barrier layer, a heat-fusible resin layer positioned on one surface side of the barrier layer, and a polyester film positioned on the other surface side of the barrier layer. When the infrared absorption spectrum on the surface of the polyester film in 18 directions at intervals of 10 from 0 to 180 is obtained using the total reflection method of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, the ratio (surface orientation degree, Y.sub.max/Y.sub.min) of the maximum value Y.sub.max and the minimum value Y.sub.min of the ratio (Y.sub.1340/Y.sub.1410) of the absorption peak intensity Y.sub.1340 in 1340 cm.sup.1 and the absorption peak intensity Y.sub.1410 in 1410 cm.sup.1 in the infrared absorption spectrum is in the range of 1.4-2.7.
DECORATIVE LAMINATE FILM, BAG-TYPE CONTAINER HAVING DECORATIVE LAMINATE FILM AND SEALING MATERIAL HAVING DECORATIVE LAMINATE FILM
A decorative laminate film including an inner film and an outer film, and at least a part of a character and/or a figure is formed as a protruded portion protruding toward the outer film. A print layer of a high-brightness ink and/or a foamed film is interposed between the inner film and the outer film, and at least a part of the character and/or the figure has a metallic luster derived from the print layer of the high-brightness ink or a pearly luster derived from the foamed film. The character and/or the figure is distinguished from at least a part of the remaining region in at least one of hue, brightness, chroma and gloss, thereby providing a decorative laminate film, which is imparted by the print design and a protruded portion having a metallic luster and/or a pearly luster, without impairing its function as a packaging material.
PET containers with enhanced thermal properties and process for making same
A process is provided for making a blow-molded PET container comprising a wall having a density of between about 1.370 g/cc and 1.385 g/cc, a heat-induced crystallinity of from about 18% to about 25%, and a strain-induced crystallinity of from about 55% to about 75%, wherein the PET container, when filled with a liquid having a temperature of from about 100 C. to about 132 C. or when subjected to a pasteurization or retort process, will not experience a change in volume of greater than 3%.
