Wood fibre based panel with a surface layer
11318726 · 2022-05-03 · ·

A building panel with a surface layer including a wood veneer, a wood fibre based core and a sub-layer between the surface layer and the core. The sub-layer includes wood fibres and a binder. The surface layer has surface portions including material from the sub-layer. The surface portions including material from the sub-layer extend into the wood veneer.

Three-dimensional substrates and absorbent articles having the same

A three-dimensional substrate has a central longitudinal axis extending perpendicular to a central lateral axis. A line taken in a direction parallel to or perpendicular to the central lateral axis of the three-dimensional substrate has a non-apertured, first visually discernible zone in the substrate and a second visually discernible zone in the substrate. The first visually discernable zone has a pattern of three-dimensional features on a first surface or a second surface. At least some of the three-dimensional features define a microzone having a first region and a second region. The first region and the second region have a difference in value for an intensive property. The second visually discernable zone defines apertures. The apertures have an Effective Aperture Area in a range of about 0.3 mm.sup.2 to about 15 mm.sup.2.

Method of producing a veneered element

A method of producing a veneered element, including providing a substrate, applying a sub-layer on a surface of the substrate, applying a veneer layer on the sub-layer, and applying pressure to the veneer layer and/or the substrate, such that at least a portion of the sub-layer permeates through the veneer layer. Also, such a veneered element.

ACOUSTIC FIBER SILENCER
20210046886 · 2021-02-18 ·

An acoustic fiber silencer for a motor vehicle includes a first sound absorbing layer and a second sound insulating layer. The layers are formed of lightweight fibrous material, and the sound insulating layer is quilted. The acoustic fiber silencer includes a frame to which the sound absorbing and sound insulating layers are secured. The frame provides structural support and shape to the sound absorbing and sound insulating layers. The acoustic fiber silencer is lightweight while maintaining excellent noise attenuation properties.

Resin molding and method for producing the same

To provide a resin molding and a method for producing the same. A resin molding in which two types of substrates differing in thermal shrinkage are connected together, wherein the thermal shrinkage of a connection part of the two types of substrates is a value between the respective thermal shrinkages of the two types of substrates. It is preferred that the connection part be constituted of an end part of any one substrate of the two substrates. More specifically, there can be adopted an embodiment in which one substrate is a plate-like substrate including reinforcing fibers and a first thermoplastic resin binding the reinforcing fibers to each other and the other substrate is an injection-molded member connected in the plate face direction of the one substrate, wherein the thermal shrinkage of the other substrate is large as compared to the thermal shrinkage of the one substrate. Moreover, the connection part can be formed by adjusting the filling density of reinforcing fibers in an end part of the one substrate to be lower than the filling density of reinforcing fibers in the base part of the one substrate.

A nonwoven fabric is disclosed. The nonwoven fabric can include a first surface and a second surface and at least a first visually discernible zone of three-dimensional features on one of the first or second surface. Each of the three-dimensional features can define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions can have a difference in values for an intensive property, and the first visually discernible zone can exhibit a high visual resolution.
