Elastic sheet for absorbent article and absorbent article
An elastic sheet for an absorbent article includes a first fibrous layer disposed on a first surface of the elastic sheet, a second fibrous layer disposed on a second surface of the elastic sheet opposite to the first surface, and contractible elastic members secured between the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer. The first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer each include continuous fibers of thermoplastic and gathers formed between adjacent ones of the elastic members. The gathers are disposed in an intersecting direction intersecting with a direction in which the elastic members extend. An average flexural rigidity value of the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer in accordance with a KES method is 0.003510.sup.4 to 0.02210.sup.4 (N.Math.m.sup.2/m). A thickness under a compression load to the gathers in accordance with the KES method is 0.22 to 1.5 mm.
Spacers for insulated glass
This invention provides a sealing spacer for spacing apart two window panes to form a window assembly. The spacer has an elongated, flexible strip having opposed edge surfaces and opposed side surfaces. The spacer also has a fiber reinforced polymer layer over the elongated, flexible strip. The opposed edge surfaces undulate with crests and troughs. The spacer has an activatable sealant for directly sealingly securing the flexible strip to each of the two window panes. The activatable sealant is on each of the opposed side surfaces of the fiber reinforced polymer. The invention also provides methods for making the spacer and window assembly.
Enhanced Flexible Material And Articles Formed Therefrom
A flexible film, and articles comprising the film, comprises interleaved pluralities of each of first bands and second bands disposed adjacent to the first bands. Both the first and second bands have a length and a width; the first bands comprise a first film basis weight and first and second regions. The first regions and second regions being comprised of the same material composition. The first regions undergo a substantially molecular-level deformation and the second regions initially undergo a substantially geometric deformation when the sheet material is subjected to an applied elongation along at least one axis. The second bands comprise a second film basis weight and a plurality of corrugations disposed along the length of the band. In this aspect the material may be described as having alternating bands of structural-elastic-like film and ring-rolled film.
Protection barriers and methods for making and using same
Protection barriers, such as floor protection barriers, and methods for making and using same. The protection barrier can include a base sheet and an energy absorbing layer. The base sheet can have two or more paperboard layers and one or more sizing layers. A first paperboard layer can form a first surface of the base sheet, a second paperboard layer can form a second surface of the base sheet, and the one or more sizing layers can be disposed between the first and second paperboard layers. The energy absorbing layer can be secured to the second paperboard layer.
Wall sheathing with passive energy dissipation
A corrugated sheet metal wall sheathing for resisting external excitations such as wind or earthquake of light-framed wall structures. The sheathing has sheet profile proportioned to insure the top flutes deform laterally and yield at the end of the flute before the onset of any failure mode. A transverse slot in included in each top flute and adjacent web of the sheathing and spaced at intervals along the length of the sheathing.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYERED BOARD HAVING A MEDIUM WITH IMPROVED STRUCTURE
A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have embossed medium that features an improved structural profile. The improved structural profile may include a triangular flute pattern wherein each flute may exhibit a first linear leg support and a second linear leg support that each support a center apex structure. The apex may have a substantially flat portion that is configured to engage a facing. As such, the board product may further include one or more facings that are adhesively coupled to the embossed medium. Further, the apex of each triangle may also have a groove or channel for receiving an adhesive in a continuous and uniform manner.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DEFORMING A WEB
Methods and apparatuses for deforming a web are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method involves feeding a web into a nip that is formed between at least two intermeshing rolls. The rolls are configured for deforming a web with at least two sets of deformations that are oriented in different directions relative to the surfaces of the web.
