FILTER MEDIA SUITABLE FOR HYDRAULIC APPLICATIONS
Filter media, including those suitable for hydraulic applications, and related components, systems, and methods associated therewith are provided. The filter media described herein may include two or more layers, at least one of the layers having a relatively high percentage of microglass fibers. Additionally, the filter media may be designed such that the ratio of average fiber diameters between two layers is relatively small, which can lead to a relatively low resistance ratio between the layers. In some embodiments, at least one layer of the filter media comprises synthetic polymer fibers. Certain filter media described herein may have desirable properties including high dirt holding capacity and a low resistance to fluid flow. The media may be incorporated into a variety of filter element products including hydraulic filters.
Articles including nanosilica-based primers for polymer coatings and methods
The present disclosure provides articles that include polymer coatings on substrates primed with a primer coating containing silica nanoparticles, and methods of coating. The polymer coating is preferably a silicone-based polymeric material.
Process for preparing an epitaxial alpha-quartz layer on a solid support, material obtained and uses thereof
The present invention relates to a process for preparing epitaxial -quartz layers on a solid substrate, to the material obtained according to this process, and to the various uses thereof, especially in the electronics field.
The filter media has desirable properties including high dirt holding capacity with low basis weight and a low resistance to fluid flow. The media may be incorporated into a variety of filter element products including hydraulic filters.
TRANSPARENT OMNIPHOBIC THIN FILM ARTICLES
An article having a nanostructured surface and a method of making the same are described. The article can include a substrate and a nanostructured layer bonded to the substrate. The nanostructured layer can include a plurality of spaced apart nanostructured features comprising a contiguous, protrusive material and the nanostructured features can be sufficiently small that the nanostructured layer is optically transparent. A surface of the nanostructured features can be coated with a continuous hydrophobic coating. The method can include providing a substrate; depositing a film on the substrate; decomposing the film to form a decomposed film; and etching the decomposed film to form the nanostructured layer.
SOLVENT BASED SLURRY COMPOSITIONS FOR MAKING ENVIRONMENTAL BARRIER COATINGS AND ENVIRONMENTAL BARRIER COATINGS COMPRISING THE SAME
Organic solvent based slurry compositions for making an environmental barrier coating including from about 6.8 wt % to about 96.1 wt % solvent; from about 3.9 wt % to about 93.2 wt % primary material; and from about 0.01 wt % to about 20 wt % slurry sintering aid.
POROUS CARBON MATERIAL COMPOSITES AND THEIR PRODUCTION PROCESS, ADSORBENTS, COSMETICS, PURIFICATION AGENTS, AND COMPOSITE PHOTOCATALYST MATERIALS
A porous carbon material composite formed of a porous carbon material and a functional material and equipped with high functionality. The porous carbon material composite is formed of (A) a porous carbon material obtainable from a plant-derived material having a silicon (Si) content of 5 wt % or higher as a raw material; and (B) a functional material adhered on the porous carbon material, and has a specific surface area of 10 m.sup.2/g or greater as determined by the nitrogen BET method and a pore volume of 0.1 cm.sup.3/g or greater as determined by the BJH method and MP method.
Protective internal coatings for porous substrates
A material contains open pores in which the channels and pores that are internally coated with at least one layer of phosphorus-containing alumina. Such material is formed by infiltrating a porous material one or more times with a non-colloidal, low-viscosity liquid coating precursor, drying, and curing the coating precursor to form a phosphorus-containing alumina layer within pores of the material.
Transparent conductor and optical display including the same
A transparent conductor and an optical display including the same are disclosed. The transparent conductor includes a base layer, and a transparent conductive layer formed on the base layer and including metal nanowires. The transparent conductor has a total diffuse reflection (DR) of greater than or equal to about 80% and less than 330% at a wavelength of about 380 nm to about 780 nm and a reflective b* value from about ?2 to about 1 at a wavelength of about 380 nm to about 780 nm.
