CATHETERS HAVING LOW VISCOSITY LUBRICANT
A closed-system urinary catheter with a low viscosity gel lubrication is disclosed. The system has an uncoated catheter, but a hydrophilic coated catheter could be used. The low viscosity lubricating gel within the sachet uniformly coats the catheter when the sachet is ruptured just prior to use. A low viscosity lubrication gel could alternatively be place in the area inside the sheath and external to the catheter. Therefore, the variability that occurs with a hydrophilic catheter or the areas of a non-lubricated catheter with the higher viscosity gel catheters is avoided.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR RECEIVING DISCHARGED URINE
A system suitable for collecting and transporting urine away from the body of a person or animal may include an assembly having a fluid impermeable casing having a fluid reservoir at a first end, a fluid outlet at a second end, and a longitudinally extending fluid impermeable layer coupled to the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet and defining a longitudinally elongated opening between the reservoir and the outlet. The assembly can further include a fluid permeable support disposed within the casing with a portion extending across the elongated opening, and a fluid permeable membrane disposed on the support and covering at least the portion of the support that extends across the elongated opening, so that the membrane is supported on the support and disposed across the elongated opening. The assembly can further include a tube having a first end disposed in the reservoir and a second, fluid discharge end.
Urinary catheterisation aid
An intermittent urinary catheterisation aid 2 and an assembly is provided. The aid allows a user to manipulate an intermittent urinary catheter 3 in one direction and insert it into the urethra in another direction.
Negative pressure therapy system
A negative pressure therapy system is provided for inducing negative pressure in a portion of a urinary tract of a patient, the system including: (a) at least one ureteral catheter configured to be positioned within a ureter and/or kidney of a patient; (b) one or more sensor(s) configured to determine information about urine produced within a urinary tract of the patient; and (c) a controller configured to increase urine production of the patient by adjusting one or more operating parameters of a negative pressure source for inducing negative pressure through the at least one ureteral catheter into the urinary tract of the patient, based at least in part upon the information determined by the one or more sensor(s).
Female catheter locator tip
Disclosed herein are catheter assemblies (100) with a locator tip (134) proximal to the distal tip (112) of a catheter tube (110). The locator tip is sized to remain outside a female urethra and configured to allow the catheter tube to pass there through. As an example, the locator tip allows a woman using a urinary catheter to target her urethra without exposing the catheter tube to tissue until the urethra is located and insertion is initiated. This avoids infecting the urethra with a catheter tube that has been contaminated by bacteria around the urethra.
INTERMITTENT CATHETER
An intermittent catheter, preferably a female intermittent catheter, is provided in an assembly. The assembly may include a cap which may be attachable to the base of the assembly in use, and/or a seal which misaligns with sealing surfaces of a chamber wall and a moveable insert in use. It may have a two-step deployment, and/or a sheath that pulls out a storage chamber. Internal and external housing may define the storage chamber. The housing may have a filling aperture and/or the storage chamber may comprise an insert configured to move axially in response to rotation.

Fluid collection devices, related systems, and related methods
In an embodiment, a fluid collection device includes a fluid impermeable barrier that at least partially defines a chamber. The fluid impermeable barrier also defines an opening extending therethrough that is configured to be positioned adjacent to a female urethra or have a male urethra positioned therethrough. The fluid collection device also includes a channel extending between an inlet and outlet thereof. The inlet is configured to be in fluid communication with a gas source and the outlet is configured to be in fluid communication with a fluid storage container. The outlet is positioned downstream from the inlet. The channel also defines at least one aperture or passageway therein that allows an interior of the channel to be in fluid communication with the rest of the chamber.
INTERMITTENT CATHETER
Described is a catheter arrangement in which a sealed container of wetting agent is provided in a housing cap. The sealed container is pierced with a piercing member such that the wetting agent is directed towards the catheter. The wetting agent may bypass a handling surface of the catheter whilst being directed to the catheter tube.
