SYNTHETIC RUBBER TILE WITH THERMAL RESISTANCE MODULATION

A prefabricated tile-type coating, whose manufacture is based on the development of a polymeric composite including mainly recycled synthetic rubber obtained from the grinding of scrap automotive waste tires, virgin rubber, or a combination of both, using as a binder a novel cross-linkable acrylic resin with the ability to be processed by pultrusion. The upper layer of the tile is made of a resin with thermochromic effect that integrates an encapsulated pigment of thermochromic material with a transition temperature in the range of 20-35 C. which changes color from white under high-temperature conditions, i.e. C. or greater than dark in conditions of low temperature, that is, 20 C. or less. The tile of elastomeric character obtained has notable competitive advantages compared to other technologies in terms of thermal resistance, solar reflectance, and resistance to the impact caused by hail or other meteorological phenomena.

Protection barriers, such as floor protection barriers, and methods for making and using same. The protection barrier can include a base sheet and an energy absorbing layer. The base sheet can have two or more paperboard layers and one or more sizing layers. A first paperboard layer can form a first surface of the base sheet, a second paperboard layer can form a second surface of the base sheet, and the one or more sizing layers can be disposed between the first and second paperboard layers. The energy absorbing layer can be secured to the second paperboard layer.

Self-adhesive material for wood board and wood board

A self-adhesive material for a wood board is described. The self-adhesive material is formed of polyolefin film having a melt index is 4 g/10 min (measured at 190 C. and 2.16 kg), and the polyolefin film contains reactive groups with OH groups of the wood for forming self-adhesive properties. Further, a wood board in which the self-adhesive material is used as a coating and/or as a glue-line material is described.

Engineered Waterproof Plastic Composite Flooring and Wall Covering Planks

Waterproof engineered floor and wall planks have a veneer layer bonded with a plastic composite core, and an underlayer, preferably an underlayer of cork.

A composition for treating cellulosic materials is provided. The composition comprises a dispersion of micronized additives. The dispersion comprises additive particles with diameters in the range of 0.001 to 25 microns. Also provided is a method for the application of the additive-containing composition to wood, as well as wood products which have been treated with the composition.

Shrink films and related combinations and methods

The present subject matter provides a shrink film free of silicon-containing material, fluorine-containing material, and solvent-formed seams. The shrink film utilizes a water soluble layer covering an adhesive layer. The water soluble layer is in dry form and non-tacky, allowing processing of the shrink film subsequent to adhesive application to the shrink film. When the water soluble layer is dissolved, the adhesive layer is exposed and is capable of forming a permanent bond. The adhesive can be used to form a seam in the film and/or can be used to form a bond between the film and a substrate. The water soluble layer facilitates removal of an optional release liner from the adhesive. A substrate with the shrink film attached thereto and a related method of attaching a heat shrinkable film to a substrate are also disclosed.

Coating composition, a method for coating a substrate, a coated substrate, a packaging material and a liquid package

The present invention relates to a curtain coatable gas barrier coating composition comprising polyvinyl alcohol and a surfactant, in which the surfactant is a water-soluble non-ionic ethoxylated alcohol. The present invention also relates to a method for providing a substrate with a gas barrier layer by means of the coating composition, and a coated substrate having at least one gas barrier layer obtained by coating the substrate with the coating composition. Further, the invention relates to a packaging material comprising a coated paperboard coated with the coating composition, and a liquid package comprising such a packaging material.
