PROTECTIVE MATERIAL
A material that is capable of stopping high-speed projectiles but yet is sufficiently flexible for use in various applications, such as to be used in footwear to protect a person's feet, especially the bottoms thereof is achieved by an enhanced ballistic material formed from interleaving layers of a ballistic material and layers of a gel matrix material that remains relatively soft and flexible. The ballistic material layer may be high tensile strength synthetic or polymeric fibers that are arranged in a mesh weave. Preferably the gel matrix material is capable of investing the ballistic material, e.g., by having the gel matrix material fill the interstices of the fibers, which may be achieved through the use of to heat and/or pressure. Furthermore, the combined material, i.e., the enhanced ballistic material, may be shaped, e.g., by molding.
ANTIFOG POLYESTER LIDDING FILM FOR CPET TRAYS
The present disclosure is directed to peelable, heat-sealable lidding films for containers of diverse polymer compositions storing various products such as foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals. The lidding films disclosed herein can be heat-sealed to crystalline polyester trays (CPET), easily peeled, and contain improved antifogging performance by incorporating a non-migratory antifogging additive into the heat sealable layer of the film without deteriorating seal strengths.
COATING LIQUID AND GAS BARRIER LAMINATE
A coating liquid includes: ultrafine zinc oxide particles; a polyester resin; an ammonium polycarboxylate salt; and water, in which an amount of the ammonium polycarboxylate salt is from 1 to 35 mass % with respect to that of the ultrafine zinc oxide particles.
Polymeric film comprising quiet layer with improved noise dampening properties
The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to polymeric films suitable for use in a wide variety of applications, such as the formation of ostomy bags, incontinence bags, medical collection bags, and the like. Specifically, the disclosed films comprise at least one barrier layer. At least one quiet layer positioned adjacent to the barrier layer incorporates sound dampening polymers. As a result, the disclosed films maintain improved sound dampening, as well as exemplary barrier characteristics and high tensile strength compared to prior art barrier films.

Co-extruded impact-modified PMMA film
The present invention relates to novel matt PMMA foils for application on materials as foil providing protection from weathering effects and as decorative foil. In particular, the present invention relates to a novel, at least two-layer PMMA foil which features particularly good adhesion on the substrate. The outer layer here exhibits the mattness, and the inner layer here comprises a low-molecular-weight component which improves adhesion on the substrate.
POLYMER BATTERY MODULE PACKAGING SHEET AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A polymer battery module packaging sheet includes, as essential components, a base layer (61), an aluminum layer (62), chemical conversion coatings (64a, 64b) coating the opposite surfaces of the aluminum layer (62), and an innermost layer (63). The chemical conversion coatings (64a, 64b) are formed by processing the opposite surfaces of the aluminum layer (62) by a phosphate treatment method. The base layer (61) and the innermost layer (63) are bonded to the chemical conversion coatings (64a, 64b) of the aluminum layer (62) with adhesive layers (65a, 65b), respectively.
CURABLE FILM-FORMING COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING HYDROXYL FUNCTIONAL, BRANCHED ACRYLIC POLYMERS AND MULTILAYER COMPOSITE COATINGS
A curable film-forming composition is provided, comprising: (a) a polymeric polyester binder comprising a plurality of carbamate groups; (b) a curing agent reactive with the carbamate functional groups of (a); and (c) a reaction product of: (1) a hydroxyl functional polymer comprising the reaction product of: (i) a monomer comprising at least two ethylenically unsaturated double bonds; (ii) a monomer comprising a carbon atom that is bonded to four moieties wherein one of the moieties is a hydrogen atom and the remainder of the moieties comprises an alkyl group, wherein at least one of the alkyl group-containing moieties comprises an ethylenically unsaturated double bond; and (iii) at least one monomer that is polymerizable with (i) and (ii); and (2) a lactone or lactam. Also provided are a multi-component composite coating composition that includes the curable film-forming composition described above and methods for forming a composite coating on a substrate.
Method of preparing hard coating film
A method of preparing a hard coating film by applying a first hard coating composition onto one side of a supporting substrate, performing a first photocuring by irradiating one side of the supporting substrate, applying a second hard coating composition onto the other side of the supporting substrate, performing a second photocuring by irradiating the other side of the supporting substrate which the second coating composition applied on, with ultraviolet having a first wavelength and a second wavelength longer than the first wavelength.
PRINTABLE COATING
A primer-less coating composition for facestock comprises: a binder being a water-dispersible polymer; an ethylenically unsaturated compound which is aqueous-dispersible and miscible with or bonded to said water-dispersible polymer, wherein said ethylenically unsaturated compound is able to form a covalent bond with an ink; and a crosslinker, wherein said crosslinker is suitable for binding the coating to the facestock. The coating composition may be applied to a substrate to form a printable film. A printed film in accordance with the invention may be used in a label, for example for use on a container such as a bottle.
