Air removed from the compression bag by the vacuum assembly is expelled through the back wall opening, without the use of any exposed hoses. This allows the oversized compression bag as compared to the size of the luggage and the contents stored within the bag to be able to safely contain within the fully closed luggage. The battery for powering the vacuum assembly can be removable while the luggage is fully closed and can also be used to charge other electronic devices.
