FABRICATION AND APPLICATION OF NANOFIBER RIBBONS AND SHEETS AND TWISTED AND NON-TWISTED NANOFIBER YARNS
A nanofiber forest on a substrate can be patterned to produce a patterned assembly of nanofibers that can be drawn to form nanofiber sheets, ribbons, or yarns.
Functionalized nanostructures and related devices
Embodiments described herein provide functionalized carbon nanostructures for use in various devices, including photovoltaic devices (e.g., solar cells). In some embodiments, carbon nanostructures substituted with at least one cyclobutyl and/or cyclobutenyl group are provided. Devices including such materials may exhibit increased efficiency, increased open circuit potential, high electron/hole mobility, and/or low electrical resistance.
Carbon nanotube compositions and methods of use thereof
Carbon nanotube (CNT)-based compositions for activating cellular immune responses are provided. The CNTs function as high surface area scaffolds for the attachment of T cell ligands and/or antigens. The CNT compositions function as artificial antigen-presenting cells (aAPCs) or as modular vaccines. The disclosed CNT aAPCs are efficient at activating T cells and may be used to activate T cells ex vivo or in vivo for adoptive or active immunotherapy.

FUNCTIONALIZATION OF CARBON-BASED NANOMATERIALS
A method for functionalizing carbon-based nanomaterials that may include: preparing a first suspension including an electrolyte solution, an amine source, and a plurality of carbon-based nanomaterials that are dispersed in the first suspension; and subjecting the first suspension to an electrochemical reaction by placing the first suspension between two electrodes and applying a voltage between the electrodes for a predetermined amount of time to obtain functionalized carbon-based nanomaterials in a second suspension.
Fabrication and application of nanofiber ribbons and sheets and twisted and non-twisted nanofiber yarns
A process of producing a yarn, ribbon or sheet comprising nanofibers that includes infiltrating a liquid into the yarn, ribbon or sheet and evaporating the liquid from the yarn, ribbon, or sheet to strengthen the yarn, ribbon or sheet. The yarn, ribbon, or sheet can be formed by solid-state draw from a carbon nanotube forest.
FABRICATION AND APPLICATION OF NANOFIBER RIBBONS AND SHEETS AND TWISTED AND NON-TWISTED NANOFIBER YARNS
Fabricating a nanofiber sheet, ribbon, or yarn by a continuous process that includes synthesizing a nanofiber forest in a furnace growth region on a substrate, wherein the nanofiber forest comprises a parallel array of nanofibers, and further includes drawing said nanofibers from the nanofiber forest to form a primary assembly that is the sheet, ribbon or yarn. The substrate continuously moves from the furnace growth region into a region where the nanofibers in the forest are drawn.
Cross-linked carbon nanotube networks
The present invention relates to a method for the production of cross-linked carbon nanotube network which are selected from aerogels and xerogels with improved performance and characteristics thereof. The invention is also concerned with carbon nanotube networks which are selected from aerogels and xerogels produced by such processes and uses thereof.
Fabrication and application of nanofiber ribbons and sheets and twisted and non-twisted nanofiber yarns
A device including an array of aligned conductive channels. The conductive channels are operable for directional transport of species selected from the group consisting of electrons, ions, phonons, and combinations thereof. The conductive channels are provided for by nanofibers in a form selected from the group consisting of ribbons, sheets, yarns, and combinations thereof.
