In an aspect, a storage device is provided and includes a container including an exterior surface and an opening therethrough. The storage device further includes at least one movable facial feature element. The storage device further includes an actuator operatively connected to the at least one movable facial feature element for driving movement of the at least one movable facial feature element. The storage device further includes a closure structure extending along the opening, and a traveler that is movably mounted to the closure structure for movement between a first traveler position and a second traveler position to open or close the closure structure. A coupling arrangement connects the traveler to the actuator such that movement of the traveler drives movement of the actuator, which in turn drives movement of the at least one movable facial feature element.

Methods and apparatus for preparing a host article and a decorative patch for removable attachment to one another using snap fasteners. In one example, a method includes simultaneously punching a first plurality of holes arranged in a first pattern into a front surface of the host article, positioning a plurality of host snap fasteners in the first plurality of holes, and simultaneously setting the plurality of host snap fasteners to secure the plurality of host snap fasteners to the host article. The method further includes simultaneously punching a second plurality of holes in a corresponding second pattern into a decorative patch and setting a plurality of patch snap fasteners in the second plurality of holes to secure the plurality of patch snap fasteners to the decorative patch, the plurality of patch snap fasteners being configured to mate with the plurality of host snap fasteners to removably attach the decorative patch to the host article.

Methods and apparatus for preparing a host article and a decorative patch for removable attachment to one another using snap fasteners. A handbag is provided that includes a base bag that is usable alone or usable with one or more attachable and replaceable outer covers. The base bag includes loop-forming tabs disposed in a series along the top of the base bag that serve as decoration, serve as beltloops for receiving an elongated article (belt, scarf, etc.), serve for attaching accessories, and serve to attach the cover. The loop-forming tabs each include a tab connector that is attachable to, and detachable from, a corresponding base connector on the outside of the base bag to form a two-connector interconnection. The interchangeable cover, when installed, encloses more than half of the bottom portion of the base bag. The cover also includes a series of interconnection-receiving apertures near its top edge that each accommodate a two-connector interconnection to hold the cover onto the base bag.

The article of luggage further comprises a primary zip fastening comprising first and second zip tapes mutually connectable and disconnectable via a zip fastening slider, wherein the first zip tape is stitched to the lid around a perimeter of the lid opening and the second zip tape is stitched to the body around a perimeter of the body opening. The article of luggage further comprises: a fabric panel mounted on an exterior of the lid and stitched to the first zip tape, the fabric panel comprising a pocket having a pocket opening. A doll or charm includes a main plate having a front, a back and side edges and an outline in the shape of a body, head, two arms and two legs. The back of the main plate has attachment places such as pegs. At least one sheet sized to cover at least part of the front of the main plate has peripheral attachment complements such as loops. The sheet can be placed on the front of the main plate and the peripheral attachment complements of the sheet can be passed around the edge of the main plate to extend around respective ones of the attachment places, such as pegs, to retain the sheet on the front of the main plate.

A doll or charm includes a main plate having a front, a back and side edges and an outline in the shape of a body, head, two arms and two legs. The back of the main plate has attachment places such as pegs. At least one sheet sized to cover at least part of the front of the main plate has peripheral attachment complements such as loops. The sheet can be placed on the front of the main plate and the peripheral attachment complements of the sheet can be passed around the edge of the main plate to extend around respective ones of the attachment places, such as pegs, to retain the sheet on the front of the main plate.
