COMBINED LIGHT AND ELECTRICAL STIMULATION OF LIGHT-SENSITIVE NEURAL TISSUE
Disclosed is a method for stimulating neural tissue, where the neural tissue includes one or more neurons genetically modified to express a light-sensitive protein. The method comprises applying a light stimulus and an electrical stimulus to the neural tissue, thereby triggering membrane depolarisation in at least one of the neurons. Also disclosed is an apparatus for applying the disclosed method. The apparatus includes a light-stimulation device for selectively applying a light stimulus and an electrical-stimulation device for selectively applying an electrical stimulus to the neural tissue.
EXTERNAL AUDITORY CANAL PHOTOBIOMODULATION DEVICE
A photobiomodulation device may include a housing configured to be inserted into an external auditory meatus of a human ear, at least a one irradiation source coupled to the housing such that at least a portion of a radiation emitting surface thereof faces at least a portion of dermis of the external auditory meatus of the ear beneath which at least one of an arterial branch and a peripheral nerve branch of at least one cranial nerve is located, and an electrical circuit carried by the housing and configured to control the at least one radiation source to irradiate the at least one of the arterial branch and the peripheral nerve branch of the at least one cranial nerve through the at least a portion of dermis of the external auditory meatus of the ear.
DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR IMPLEMENTING THERAPEUTIC TREATMENTS OF LIGHT
Devices and systems for impinging light on tissue to induce one or more biological effects and, more particularly, illumination devices and related systems for implementing therapeutic treatments of light are disclosed. Systems may include illumination devices that are configured to provide phototherapy for a variety of medical indications and/or health-related benefits. Illumination devices may be connected to systems that administer and/or monitor multiple illumination devices across multiple geographic regions to compile regional and/or global information related to phototherapeutic usage. Certain aspects relate to system elements, such as local devices and/or servers that are capable of generating treatment protocols for illumination devices based on diagnostic information. After treatment protocols are implemented by illumination devices, administered treatment information along with location information may be provided to the local devices and/or servers.
Photobiomodulation delivery devices for intracorporeal illumination via natural or surgically created orifices.
A light emitting device is disclosed for intracorporeal Photobiomodulation (photostimulation, low-level light therapy, low-level laser therapy, phototherapy, photobiostimulation). The device will be removably inserted via a natural or surgically created orifice. The device will deliver therapeutic doses of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) light energy (photons) to cells, tissues, organs or body systems. The purpose of the device is to deliver light energy to cause a photochemical reaction for improving functionality, restoring functionality or causing a healing effect as needed for treating diseases, conditions or disorders of the body.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHOTOBIOMODULATION
The present application is directed to systems, devices, and methods for diagnosing, preventing, and treating diseases and disorders through photobiomodulation therapy, either alone or in combination with one or more other therapies. More particularly, the present invention provides photon source devices configured to deliver light to a portion of an organism, which causes a physiological response within that light exposed organism. The invention also provides a system which includes one or more photon source devices and functionality for diagnosing or assessing a disease or disorder, and for monitoring responsiveness of the disease or disorder to treatment with the therapeutic light. Additionally, this application is directed to utilizing the present systems and devices in combination with known adjunctive therapies including devices, services, drugs, biologics, genetics and supplements to produce synergistic optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Opto-Acoustic Selective Mechanical Stimulation of the Vestibular System
An implantable vestibular prosthesis system includes an implantable optical array of optical sources configured for engagement with a disordered vestibular system to deliver optical stimulation signals to target stimulation locations within the bony or membranous labyrinth of the disordered vestibular system. An implantable stimulation processor is connected to the optical array and configured to produce the optical stimulation signals with the optical sources so as to generate directional pressure waves within the endolymphatic fluid directed to the target stimulation locations for vestibular perception by residual vestibular functioning.
Flesh-Illuminating Device
A flesh-illuminating device includes: a light source configured to generate light usable to illuminate flesh of a user; a shape holder operably connected to the light source, the shape holder configured to hold the light source in place so that the light source can illuminate the user's flesh; a user interface operably connected to the light source, the user interface configured to allow the user to control the light source; and a power source operably connected to the light source, the power source configured to provide power to the flesh-illuminating device.
A HEARING LOSS ALLEVIATING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE OF SAME
A hearing loss alleviating device sized and configured to be received, at least in part, by a central auditory system of a subject and a method of using the same. The hearing loss alleviating device includes a power supply and at least one of an electromagnetic radiation generator, an electromagnetic field generator, and a high frequency sound generator. When powered, the hearing loss alleviating device generates at least one of electromagnetic radiation, an electromagnetic field, and high frequency sound.
