PHOTOBIOMODULATION THERAPY TO DELAY DYSTROPHY PROGRESSION
Photobiomedulation therapy (PBMT) can be applied to a dystrophic muscle to delay dystrophy progression. A light source device can be contacted to a subject's skin proximal to a dystrophic muscle or muscle group. A light signal (with wavelengths from the red to infrared part of the spectrum) can be applied in at least one of a pulsed operating mode, a continuous operating mode, and a super-pulsed operating mode through the light source device to the dystrophic muscle or muscle group. The light signal is applied for a time sufficient to stimulate a phototherapeutic response in the dystrophic muscle or muscle group.
Radiation Apparatus for the Radiation of Human Skin
A radiation device is for the radiation of human skin, preferably the face of a user, in particular at least with radiation in the red light range, with a source of radiation and a filtering device for filtering the radiation emitted by the source of radiation. The filtering device is configured in such a way that the radiation device emits radiation in a wavelength range from 280 to 400 nm and beyond that radiation in a wavelength range of 600 to 700 nm, and that the radiation device emits at least zonally radiation in a wavelength range of a visible color shade of the visible light spectrum and filters further radiation of the visible light spectrum.
LIGHTING FIXTURE WITH SAFE UV RADIATION FOR VITAMIN D PRODUCTION
The present invention provides a lighting fixture comprising a combination of LEDs capable of radiating in the visible wavelengths or UV wavelengths and a reflector to obtain a particular beam angle of light/radiation, features/design of which provides safe levels of UV radiation over a period of time to promote vitamin D production upon contact with exposed skin surface. The lighting fixture of the present invention is particularly suitable for indoor areas such as office spaces, where people spend anywhere from 6-10 hours without exposure to sun, which is a major source of radiation for vitamin D production in the body. The lighting fixture of the present invention addresses the issue of chronic/endemic vitamin D deficiency in the Indian population and provides a cheap, effective and safe way to obtain daily vitamin D dosage and its health benefits.
Visible and UV lighting system
A lighting system combines an arrangement of UV LEDs which face a light exit window and an arrangement of visible light LEDs which face a reflector arrangement. The reflection can be used to provide desired beam shaping or diffusion so that beam shaping components are not needed at the exit window. In this way, UV deterioration of beam shaping components is avoided.
PHOTOTHERAPEUTIC APPARATUS FOR FOCUSED UVB RADIATION AND VITAMIN D SYNTHESIS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure is directed to a phototherapeutic apparatus for focused UVB radiation and vitamin D synthesis and associated systems methods. In one embodiment a phototherapeutic apparatus can include a housing at least partially defining an irradiation zone, and an ultraviolet (UV) radiation source carried by the housing. The irradiation zone can be configured to accommodate at least a portion of a human patient. The phototherapeutic apparatus can further include a filter between the UV radiation source and the irradiation zone. The filter can be configured to at least substantially remove UV radiation outside of a predetermined spectrum centered at about 297 nm and having a bandwidth of at most 10 nm.

Device for photo-therapy of grover's disease and use thereof
The present invention provides a photo-therapy device and a method for treatment of skin conditions such as rashes or similar dermatological conditions that are exhibited by Grover's disease or other diseases which are associated or co-existent with Grover's disease. The treatment includes exposure of the subject's affected skin and preferably the entire body with blue LED light to improve skin status by stimulating body's immune system to reduce itching, blotchiness and skin discomfort.
Skin tanning and phototherapy system and apparatus
A tanning or a phototherapy system including a light source including light emitting elements configured to emit ultraviolet (UV) light having different peak wavelengths, a controller configured to control luminous characteristics of the light source, and a sensor configured to sense at least one of the luminous characteristics of the light source and a user's skin condition, in which the luminous characteristics of the light source are controlled by the controller based on the user's skin condition sensed by the sensor, and controlling the luminous characteristics comprises increasing or decreasing luminous intensity of one or more of the light emitting elements.
