Therapeutic Textile Articles and Methods of Use
The present invention relates generally to therapeutic articles comprised of carbonaceous blend textile materials comprising yarns having about 25 to 100 weight % carbonaceous fiber and about 0 to 75 weight % fiber made of polyester, nylon, rayon, lyocell, cellulose, wool, silk, linen, bamboo, m-aramid, p-aramid, modacrylic, novoloid, melamine, regenerated cellulose, polyvinyl chloride, antistatic fiber, poly(p-phenylene benzobisoxazole) (PBO), polybenzimidazole (PBI), polysulphonamide (PSA), and combinations thereof, or other fibers not listed that are capable of being made into yarn and textile fabrics that are knit, woven, or nonwoven, and wherein the fabric has a weight from about 3 oz/yd.sup.2 to about 20 oz/yd.sup.2. Also encompassed within this invention is a method for using therapeutic textile articles having carbonaceous blend textile materials of the present disclosure for treatment of humans and animals with developmental neurological disorders, central nervous system disorders, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease, sleep disorders, anxiety disorders, pain management, and diabetes.

An active implantable medical device includes an encapsulation (1) defining an inner space sealingly separated from an outer environment by walls transparent to a given wavelength range. The walls have a first main wall (1a) and a second main wall (1b) facing one another and separated from one another by an inner height (Hi) of the inner space. An encapsulation includes a housing formed by a first component (2) and a second component (3) both made of a single material and hermetically joined to one another along a single interface (23) to define the inner space hermetically sealed by the walls from the outer environment. An inner space contains an electronic, and facing a wall of the encapsulation. wherein joining of the first component and second components (2, 3) is carried out by welding without addition of a third material, the inner space has a volume (Vi) of at least 2 cm.sup.3.

LED LIGHTING APPARATUS HAVING STERILIZING FUNCTION
A lighting apparatus is disclosed. The lighting apparatus according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a white light emitting device including at least one first light emitting diode and a wavelength converter to implement white light; and at least one second light emitting diode emitting light suitable for producing a cell activating substance, wherein the first light emitting diode emits light having a central wavelength in a range of about 300 nm to about 420 nm, the second light emitting diode emits light having a central wavelength in a range of about 605 nm to about 935 nm, the wavelength converter includes a plurality of wavelength conversion substances to convert light of the first light emitting diode into white light, the lighting apparatus emits the white light implemented in the white light emitting device and light generated by the second light emitting diode to the outside, and, in irradiance spectrum of the white light implemented in the white light emitting device, irradiance of the central wavelength of light emitted from the first light emitting diode is smaller than that of a peak wavelength of blue light emitted from the wavelength conversion substance.

DERMATOLOGICAL LASER SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF TISSUE WITH POOR CHROMOPHORE SELECTIVITY
Dermatological systems and methods for providing a therapeutic laser treatment of tissue having poor chromophore selectivity using a laser source having a grating element to provide laser light having reduced linewidth. In some embodiments, the linewidth is reduced by at least half compared to the linewidth that would be provided in a system without the grating filter element. The linewidth may be reduced in some cases to 500 GHz or less, 300 GHz or less, or 200 Hz or less.

Systems and methods for treating a body region are provided herein. A treatment device for treating a body region is provided, and may include a first applicator and a second applicator. The first and second applicators are held on the body region by a belt. The first applicator may include a first magnetic field generating device and a radiofrequency electrode. The second applicator may include a second magnetic field generating device. The first and second magnetic field generating devices may each generate a time-vary magnetic field with a plurality of sequential magnetic impulses to cause muscle contraction in the body region. The radiofrequency electrode may provide radiofrequency waves causing heating of tissue within the body region. The treatment device may further include an energy storage device and a switching device. The switching device my discharge energy from the energy storage device to the first or the second magnetic field generating device to generate the time-vary magnetic field.
