Secure slider for a zip fastener
“A slide (100) for a zip fastener has a hasp (115) and a pull tab (120). This assembly is being moulded into a single block. The pull tab (120) has an eyelet (121) for connecting to the hasp of the slider. The pull tab (120) has a locking eyelet (122) the opening plane of which is parallel to the opening plane of the connection eyelet (121). The pull tab (120) has a portion (125) for connection between the two eyelets (121, 122), called the pull tab body, the width of the cross-section of the pull tab body in a direction perpendicular to the opening planes of the eyelets is greater than or equal to the height of the cross-section in the plane parallel to the opening planes of said eyelets.”
Anti-Theft Carrying Strap
In various embodiments, a carry (or carrying) bag is provided that includes an interior, substantially cut-resistant security panel assembly with a matrix of wires secured between or on one or more flexible material layers. Also in various embodiments, the security panel assembly may be positioned intermediate the bag outside wall and a lining of the bag, and in other embodiments, may also take the form of an expansion panel. Second or secondary locking fasteners are also provided to lock first or primary fasteners to or within the carrying bag, to provide security for compartments and pockets. A strap with one or more security cables, and various locking fasteners, may be attached to the carry bag. Methods for forming such security panel assemblies, expansion panels, and carrying straps are also disclosed.

COMPACT WALLET
There is disclosed a compact wallet, comprising at least two rigid plates at least one having a channel into which an encircling elastic band is interposed to bias the at least two rigid plates inwardly and securely hold the card-like contents while providing elastic volume therebetween while allowing freedom for the dynamic extension and contraction of the band over the entire running length of the wallet. The wallet includes an auxiliary feature removably attached within the interior at least one of the at least two rigid plates interposed using a tang inserted into a recess formed inside the plate, the tang having a hook, the hook extending at an angle to the tang, the hook engaging an undercut of the recess to prevent inadvertent dislodgement of the auxiliary feature from the recess.
Locking slider assembly and a method for its manufacture
A locking slider assembly includes a slider including a follower; and a rail engaged to the follower, so that the follower can move along the rail when the assembly is in a first state and the follower cannot move along the rail when the assembly is in a second state.
System and method for detecting that an open bag is being carried
A system for detecting that an open bag is being carried includes a portable container having a first compartment with a first opening, the first opening mutable between an open state and a closed state. The system includes at least one first sensor incorporated in the portable container, the at least one first sensor configured to detect that the first opening is in the open state. The system includes at least one mechanical switch incorporated in the portable container, the at least one mechanical switch having an actuator that activates the at least one mechanical switch when the portable container is lifted. The system includes a control circuit coupled to the at least one first sensor and at least one mechanical switch, the control circuit configured to transmit an alert to a user when the first sensor detects that the first opening is open and the mechanical switch is activated.
Locking slider assembly and a method for its manufacture
A locking slider assembly includes a slider comprising a slot. The assembly includes a rail slidably inserted through the slot of the slider, the rail having at least one tooth movable between an extended state in which the tooth prevents the slot from moving in at least one direction along the rail, and a retracted state in which the slot can slide past the at least one tooth.
BACKPACK INCLUDING A RESILIENT CORD ASSEMBLY WITH A CORD CONNECTOR, AND A RESILIENT CORD ASSEMBLY AND CORD CONNECTOR THEREFOR
There is provided a bag including a plurality of line positioning members coupled to a peripheral portion of the bag. The bag includes a line extending through the line positioning members. The line has a first position in which the line extends about the peripheral portion of the bag. The line includes a connector slidably coupled to the line. The connector includes a sleeve, a catch facing the sleeve and an elongate member extending between and coupling together the sleeve and the catch. The line is moveable from the first position thereof to a second position in which a pair of looped portions thereof extend towards the front of the bag and are selectively coupled together via the connector.
Carrying devices with built-in security system
