Radiation therapy patient platform
Described here are systems, devices, and methods for imaging and radiotherapy procedures. Generally, a radiotherapy system may include a radiotransparent patient platform, a radiation source coupled to a multi-leaf collimator, and a detector facing the collimator. The radiation source may be configured to emit a first beam through the collimator to provide treatment to a patient on the patient platform. A controller may be configured to control the radiotherapy system.
COMPENSATION METHOD FOR BED SURFACE DROP BEFORE AND AFTER ACCELERATOR RADIOTHERAPY BED
A compensation method for bed surface drop before and after accelerator radiotherapy bed includes the following contents: the weight G is decomposed into N weights on average, the length L is decomposed into M positions on average, and then an experiment is carried out. The drop matrix H.sub.N×M of the couch top is measured by the experiment, by performing cubic spline interpolation on the rows of the matrix H.sub.N×M, and then performing cubic spline interpolation on the columns, the resulting cubic spline interpolation matrix S.sub.N×N1, M×M1 of H.sub.N×M has N*N1 rows and M*M1 columns, and then applies it to practice. The drop amount H obtained by the compensation method for bed surface drop before and after accelerator radiotherapy bed of the present invention is the optimal estimated value with the Least Sum of Square Error.
IMAGING BASED CALIBRATION SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS
Systems, devices, and methods for imaging-based calibration of radiation treatment couch position compensations.
PATIENT SHUTTLE SYSTEM AND IRRADIATION SYSTEM FOR PARTICLE THERAPY
The invention provides a patient shuttle system and an irradiation system for particle therapy. A patient shuttle system of one embodiment of the invention includes: a patient table (110) adapted to carry a patient; a patient table drive unit (120) that moves and/or rotates the patient table; and a transfer unit (130) having a base (131) on which the patient table drive unit is placed. In a home position state of the patient shuttle system (100), the patient table and first and second arms of the patient table drive unit are configured to be folded in the height direction (Z-axis). A robot arm base connected to the second arm is fixed at a position off the center of the base in plan view, and thereby a helper space (135) where a helper may ride is secured on the base. The robot arm base is fixed in a recess (138) provided in the base.
System and method for couch sag compensation in image guided radio therapy
A method and system for using in a two-modality apparatus. The two-modality apparatus comprises a couch with a table top, a first modality unit and a second modality unit. A second image of a target portion of an object when the table top is at a second working position of the second modality unit may be acquired. A second sag of the table top at a second measurement point of the table top according to the second image may be determined based on the image. A difference between a first sag of the table top at a first measurement point of the table top and the second sag may be estimated based on the second sag and standard data. The standard data provides a relationship relating to a sag of the table top positioned between the first modality unit and second modality unit.
Device for patient monitoring
A movement detection device for detecting quantitatively the movement of a patient by capturing images of a deformable surface having an indicator associated therewith, the indicator being responsive to changes in a profile of the deformable surface. The captured images are analysed to derive a patient movement from the changes in the profile of the deformable surface. For example, the movement detection device of the invention can detect the sense (translational and/or rotational) and magnitude of the patient movement. This information may enable real time adjustment of the treatment signal or indeed provide a safety facility whereby should there be detection that the patent has moved or has moved beyond certain parameters, the device that is observing or treating the patent is switched off.
RADIATION TREATMENT DEVICE
A radiation treatment device is provided. The device includes an imaging unit and a single radiotherapy unit adjacent to a second end of the imaging unit. The imaging unit includes a first opening at a first end of the imaging unit adapted to receive a patient; at least one imaging source; and at least one imager arranged opposite the imaging source. The imaging source and the imager are rotatable about the rotational axis. The radiotherapy unit includes a source body carrying radioactive sources and a collimator having collimation channels. The collimation channels permit treatment beams emitted by the radioactive sources to be projected inside the imaging unit and focused at an intersection point located within an imaging beam of the imaging unit. The source body and the collimator are arranged concentric about the rotational axis and close a second opening at the second end.
PRESSURE TOUCH SENSITIVE PATIENT TABLE FOR TOMOGRAPHIC IMAGING
A device (10) for a patient to lie on during a medical imaging procedure includes a main body (12). A matrix of pressure sensors (16) disposed on a top surface (14) of the main body are configured to continuously measure pressure across the top surface. At least one electronic processor (22) is operatively connected to read the pressure sensors. A non-transitory storage medium stores instructions readable and executable by the at least one electronic processor to use the matrix of pressure sensors to perform at least one of: a sag estimation operation (200); a motion estimation operation (300); and a respiratory monitoring operation (400).
Radiation treatment device
The present disclosure discloses a radiation treatment device and pertains to the field of medical appliance technologies. The radiation treatment device includes a radiotherapy unit and an imaging unit. The radiotherapy unit is configured to emit a treatment beam to a to-be-treated region in a patient, wherein the to-be-treated region in the patient is located outside the radiotherapy unit. The imaging unit is arranged adjacent to the radiotherapy unit and is configured to emit an imaging beam to the to-be-treated region in the patient. Without moving the to-be-treated region in a patient, the radiotherapy unit may emit the treatment beam to the to-be-treated region in the patient according to the treatment plan worked out to execute the radiation treatment, such that the accuracy of the radiation treatment is improved.
