The present invention is a method of radiation position, which includes: placing a locking bar member on a proper position of a treatment bed; selecting positions respectively on two sides of the treatment bed to be joined with two ends of the locking bar member; and providing a calibration device, wherein the calibration device is provided with at least one positioning point, so that the bottom part of the calibration device is buckled with at least two positioning elements on the locking bar member; and calculating an offset distance between an irradiation point of a radiation and the at least one positioning point of the calibration device to obtain a value, wherein if the value is less than a deviation value, it represents completion of a positioning. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method of quick and precise radiation position, which can not only reduce time cost but also increase the daily use frequency of a radiological apparatus to facilitate cost recovery.

RADIATION DOSE LATENCY MEASUREMENT SYSTEM

A radiation latency measurement system, having a pulse detector connected to a radiation detector mounted within a phantom that is configured to be positioned within a radiation treatment system which delivers a radiation dose to the radiation detector. The pulse detector has a first circuit that applies a high voltage bias to the radiation detector and a second circuit that amplifies the voltage signal from the radiation detector with a fixed gain first amplification stage and a variable gain second amplification stage. A first comparator receives the amplified signal and generates an output signal when the amplified signal exceeds a specified voltage level and a second comparator that processes and filters the output signal. The timing of receipt of the radiation dose signal may be compared to the position of the radiation detector in order to measure a radiation dose latency of the radiation treatment system.

A respiratory gating phantom device includes a first airbag, a second airbag, a first catheter, a second catheter, a fixture, and an air pressure gating device. The first catheter and the second catheter are respectively installed in the first airbag and the second airbag. The fixture is provided with a phantom tumor and adjustably installed in the first catheter or the second catheter, thereby installing the phantom tumor in the first catheter or the second catheter. The air pressure gating device, connected to the first airbag and the second airbag, inflates and deflates the first airbag and the second airbag to simulate breathing. The first catheter and the second catheter respectively move along three-dimensional direction and two-dimensional direction in response to motions of the first airbag and the second airbag.

A method of calibrating a positioning system in a radiation therapy system which includes a radiation therapy unit having a fixed radiation focus, includes irradiating a calibration tool having at least one reference object, capturing at least one two-dimensional image including cross-sectional representations of reference objects of the calibration tool and determining image coordinates of the representation of each reference object. Based on the reference objects' image coordinates, positions of the reference objects in the stereotactic coordinate system relative to an origin of the calibration tool and the position of the origin of the calibration tool relative to the imaging unit, a position difference between the position of the calibration tool in the stereotactic coordinate system and a position of the calibration tool in an imaging system coordinate system including a translational and rotational position difference is calculated.

Method of calibrating a patient monitoring system for use with a radiotherapy treatment apparatus

A method of calibrating a monitoring system (10,14) is described in which a calibration phantom (70) is located with its center located approximately at the isocenter of a treatment room through which a treatment apparatus (16) is arranged to direct radiation, wherein the surface of the calibration phantom (70) closest to an image capture device (72) of the monitoring system (10,14) is inclined approximately 45° relative to the camera plane of an image capture device of the monitoring system. Images of the calibration phantom (70) are then captured using the image capture device (72) and the images are processed to generate a model of the imaged surface of the calibration phantom. The generated model of the imaged surface of the calibration phantom (70) is then utilized to identify the relative location of the center of the calibration phantom (70) and the camera plane of the image capture device (72) which is then utilized to determine the relative location of the camera plane of the image capture device and the isocenter of a treatment room.
