VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR EXPANDABLE BLADDER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20180142795 · 2018-05-24 · ·

The present invention relates to expandable bodies or systems with bounding walls or bladder structures and at least one valve assembly thermally bonded thereto. More particularly, the present invention provides a fluid valve assembly for expandable fluid-containing bodies typically made from a thermoplastic rubber material or the like, which will exhibit significantly increased strength and durability during expansion and while expanded, especially at and around the interface between the fluid valve assembly and the bounding wall of the expandable body because of the enhanced strength of the fluid valve assembly interface through thermal sealing.

Valve device for a packaging configured to hold a product releasing a gas
09944447 · 2018-04-17 · ·

A valve device for a packaging configured to hold a product releasing a gas. The valve device comprises, in an embodiment, a first inner film provided with a first opening and a second outer film covering the first opening. Between the first inner and the second outer film a first chamber is provided. The first opening provides a gas communication between the first chamber and the interior of the packaging. The first and second films define a channel being in fluid communication with the first chamber. Further, the valve device comprises a second chamber, and the channel connects the first and second chamber. The second chamber comprises a second opening being in fluid communication with the exterior of the packaging. At least one of the first and second chambers comprises a liquid and at least one spacer.

Temporary elastomeric functional barrier membrane and method of manufacture
09896592 · 2018-02-20 · ·

A fluid check valve incorporating a temporary elastomeric functional barrier membrane, the check valve having a sealing member comprising a first elastomer and a barrier membrane comprising a second elastomer, different from the first elastomer, disposed directly upon the surface of the sealing member so as to form a continuous layer over at least a seal opening of the sealing member. The barrier membrane may include a photoinitiator and coagent which aids in the ultraviolet (UV) curing of the second elastomer after application upon the first. The barrier membrane may applied as a solution of monomers, photoinitiator, and optional coagent, the solvent evaporated, and the deposited solutes exposed to ultraviolet so as to form the barrier membrane material.

Inflation valve allowing for rapid inflation and deflation of an inflatable object

Disclosed is an inflation valve enabling a user to quickly inflate and deflate an inflatable object. The inflation valve can include an inflation chamber that is an adequate size to capture a breath of air blown by a user from a distance away from an outside opening of the inflation chamber. This allows surrounding air into the area of low pressure created by the moving air, thereby greatly increasing the amount of air entering the inflatable object. To prevent air from escaping the inflatable object, the inflation valve can include a non-invertible one-way valve and/or an invertible one-way valve. Each valve can prevent air from escaping the inflation chamber until adequate pressure is applied from the outside opening of the inflation chamber, for example, as a result of a user blowing air into the inflation chamber. The invertible one-way valve can be inverted to reverse the properties of the valve.

DEVICE FOR PROVIDING A CONSTANT AMOUNT OF AEROSOL
