Static back pressure regulator

The invention generally provides a static back pressure regulator. In exemplary embodiments, the static back pressure regulator includes a seat that defines part of a fluid pathway, a poppet, a spring arranged to bias the poppet toward the seat to restrict fluid flow through the fluid pathway, and a calibration element configured to adjust a force applied to the poppet by the spring. The calibration element can include a through hole that forms part of the fluid pathway. The poppet can include a first guiding portion that extends into the through hole of the calibration element and inhibits tipping of the poppet relative to the seat.

Electrically actuated pressure regulating valve for an adjustable hydrostatic pump, and adjustable hydrostatic pump having a pressure regulating valve

An electroproportionally controlled differential pressure valve cartridge includes actuation and tank ports on an outer circumference, and a pump port on a face-side. A spring preloads a piston into a position that relieves pressure from the actuation port to the tank port. A current increase through an electromagnet opposite the pump port and a pressure increase at the pump port counter the spring to open a connection from the pump port to the actuation port. A concentric opening extends from the pump port to a first piston surface. A duct extends from the first piston surface to a pump chamber. A further duct extends from the pump port to a spring chamber between the pump chamber and electromagnet. In the spring chamber, pressure over a second piston surface counters pressure over the first piston surface.

Pressure relief valve with bi-directional seat

A pressure relief valve includes a valve body including a monitored pressure inlet leading to a monitored pressure region, a piston having a shear seal bore and a surface facing the monitored pressure region, a vent passage and a the shear seal assembly comprising a seal plate having a sealing surface thereon, and the shear seal assembly includes a sealing surface facing the seal plate and having a first annular area, and a first surface having an annular surface area at least twice as large as the first area of the sealing surface, the first surface facing away from the first area, and a biasing seal in contact with the first surface.

An illustrative valve is disclosed that includes a valve body, a valve seat disposed within the valve body that has a first curved sealing surface and a valve member having a second curved sealing surface that is adapted to sealingly engage the first curved sealing surface, wherein the first and second curved sealing surfaces are opposed curved sealing surfaces.

Over pressure relief system for fluid ends

A relief valve assembly includes a housing assembly defining a chamber therein. The relief valve assembly includes a piston. The piston may be at least partially disposed within the chamber. The relief valve assembly includes a pilot inlet. The pilot inlet may be configured to provide a pilot pressure proximate a second end of the chamber. The relief valve assembly includes an overpressure inlet sealed from a first end of the chamber by the piston. The overpressure inlet may be configured to provide an inlet pressure which may actuate the piston when the inlet pressure exceeds the pilot pressure.

Electrically controlled pressure control valve for an adjustable hydrostatic pump

An electroproportional pressure control valve of cartridge-type construction is screwed into a housing bore of a hydrostatic pump. The cartridge includes an adjusting pressure port, a pump port, and a tank port. The adjusting pressure port is relieved to the tank port in a normal position of a spring-biased valve plunger of the pressure control valve. A connection from the pump port to the adjusting pressure port is opened counter to the force of the spring by increasing a current of an electromagnet and increasing the pump pressure at the pump port. The spring, the electromagnet, and the resultant force of the pump pressure act along a common axis of movement of the valve plunger. A first nozzle connects the adjusting pressure port to an adjusting pressure chamber. A second nozzle connects the adjusting pressure port to the tank port.

Bypass valve

A bypass valve (130) that regulates a flow of a fluid in a waste heat recovery system (100) is provided. The bypass valve (130) comprises a valve housing (220), an expander poppet (250) coupled to the valve housing (220) and adapted to prevent the flow of the fluid to an expander (140), and a valve stem (230) with at least a portion disposed in the valve housing (220) wherein the valve stem (230) is adapted to displace the expander poppet (250) to allow the fluid to flow to the expander (140), and regulate the flow of the fluid.

Oscillating pressure in a finite volume
09874288 · 2018-01-23 ·

An apparatus for allowing the repetitive oscillation of pressure in a container or vessel having a finite volume. The apparatus comprises a valve having first opening, a valve enclosure having a second opening, and a first tension device. In some embodiments the apparatus can have a chamber capable of oscillating in volume. The oscillation of the chamber volume causes a decrease in the pressure of the container. As the pressure of the space or container decreases, two openings of the apparatus become more proximate. Eventually the openings partially overlap, allowing a gas, or fluid, to enter the container, increasing pressure of the space or container. As a result of the pressure increase, the first opening and second opening become less proximate by a force of the first tension device. The apparatus can allow the container to approach substantially perfect vacuum and rise toward atmospheric pressure.
