Valve plugs having curved notches

Valve plugs having curved notches are described herein. An example valve plug includes a first section defining a first end, a second section defining a second end opposite the first end, and a third section located between the first and second sections, the third section including a curved notch formed inwardly from a periphery of the third section toward a longitudinal axis of the valve plug defined by the first, second and third sections.

SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR CONTROLLING AND MONITORING LIQUID APPLICATIONS OF AGRICULTURAL FIELDS

Described herein are systems and devices for controlling and monitoring liquid applications of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, a flow device for controlling flow during an agricultural operation includes an offset ball valve having multiple openings that rotate in position to control flow of a liquid through the offset ball valve to an outlet passage. The flow device also includes a first passage that provides a first flow path from an inlet to at least one opening of the offset ball valve and second passage that provides a second flow path from the inlet to at least one opening of the offset ball valve.

Valve assembly having improved rotational feel

A valve assembly includes a valve housing having an internal generally cup-shaped bore, a valve control cartridge inserted into the bore and having a rotatable control stem extending upwardly therefrom, and a bonnet nut having a through-bore. The bonnet nut is threaded to the valve housing such that the control stem extends through the through-bore. Flexible fingers are provided along the through-bore to control a level of resistance to a rotation of the rotatable control stem. The stem is positioned to frictionally engage the flexible fingers as the stem is rotated.

Disclosed is a device for reducing flow noise. In order to achieve a low flow noise, the device includes inlet apertures for receiving a fluid flow, chambers into which one or more inlet apertures open up, a cross-sectional area of a single chamber being larger than a combined flow cross-sectional area of the inlet apertures opening up thereto, and chamber-specific outlet apertures for forwarding the fluid flow from the chamber, a flow cross-sectional area of each outlet aperture being smaller than the cross-sectional area of the chamber, and the combined flow cross-sectional area of all outlet apertures of the single chamber being larger than the combined flow cross-sectional area of the inlet apertures opening up into said chamber.

Three-dimensional tortuous path flow element for ball control valves

A fluid control valve includes a valve housing having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. A valve body is disposed within the valve housing and is transitional relative to the valve housing between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the valve body prevents fluid flow between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The valve body is incrementally transitional from the closed position to the open position to incrementally increase the amount of fluid flow from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet. A flow control element is positioned within the valve housing downstream of the valve body. The flow control element includes a peripheral body and an inward body having a plurality of flow control passageways extending therethrough. The flow control element additionally includes an opening defined collectively by the peripheral body and the inward body.
